GO FORWARD

Exo. 14:15 – “And the Lord said to Moses, wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward

Everything good comes from ‘go’. You cannot have good without ‘go’, gold starts with ‘go’ and even God starts with ‘go’. But there is this natural tendency for man to park, don’t park on your experiences, old exploits, pains and worries, don’t even part on your past mistakes. Only those who have learnt to go forward will enter the Promised Land and possess their possession. Do not park! Many people live in the past. Go forward.

Exo. 14:8-9 “And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt …beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-zephon”.

  1. The threat of the Enemy – One mistake most people make today is to focus so much on the threat of the enemy. It is not right. The threat of the enemy should not stop you from going forward. You need to understand the nature of the enemy, one of which is that Pharaoh will not let you go without a fight. Pharaoh is that spirit that wants to maintain the status quo; it is that spirit that wants to keep you in captivity forever so that you can do his whims. This is a very huge threat and it is always there. If you look at the amalgamation of forces that Pharaoh unleashed on the children of Israel just because they wanted to take the right step to do the will of God, it can be quite overwhelming for a heart that is not prepared. That is why focusing on the enemy is looking backwards. Your evil pursuers will always be at the back and that includes backbiters.
  2. People’s Reaction – people’s reaction will always negate the will of God. Verse 11-12 – “And they said unto Moses, because there were no graves in Egypt ..let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians?” The spirit of “let us alone” is a very destructive and wicked spirit that has destroyed many destinies. Wherever it operates, it keeps people in stagnation. What are these reactions?

Everyone is confronted with this spirit. Whenever you want to do what God wants you to do, this spirit will be stirred up. It is foolish to seek counsel from someone who is not tuned to the frequency of heaven; this is because he will pull you down. He will kill your resolve to move forward. It takes determination to do the will of God; it takes determination to move forward.

Vs 13 – “And Moses said unto the people, fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever”. How do you know a good leader? He makes positive confessions and proclamations in time of crisis, he believes and says what God says. Many times, we jump before we think. Learn to stand still. Fear is dangerous; it reduces people to nothing and destroys the flow of the supernatural. When you are afraid, don’t take decisions. Fear is a spirit.

You must have divine connection to make contact with heaven. You must learn to hear what God is saying, don’t just go forward, learn to put the right foot forward. Be a person of His presence. You must be a person of strategy. Train yourself to receive. Remember that you are a royal priesthood. God has given us access through His Son to enter the holiest place where we can commune with Him and receive strategies to deal with the spirit of Egypt.

What are you seeing? Get divinely connected. Take away your eyes from Egypt; take your eyes off your evil pursuers. As long as you have your eyes fixed on your evil pursuers, your heart will fail. This is exactly what the enemy wants; he wants to take you to the point of despondency. Just remind yourself that you have a loving Father. Irrespective of what you are passing through, your greatest communication is your divine connection. Whatever has a beginning must have an end.

Vs 15 – “… that they go forward”. One of the ways that God answer prayers, is that He will give you a winning strategy. Divine strategy is always the best because that is where the miracle is. Jesus applied this strategy when ten lepers came to him for healing. He said, “go”. Elisha applied this principle when Naaman the leper came to him for healing, he said, “go”. Divine instructions are to be followed to the letter. Don’t make your prayer mechanical, it should be a 2-way communication between you and your heavenly Father. God has a winning strategy for that situation. After praying, listen to receive a strategy. There is a time to stop praying, there is a time to stop crying; there is a time to act. After receiving the strategy, do exactly what God says, your miracle will meet you at the point of your obedience to divine instructions. Divine instructions will unlock miracles for you.
