Things you need to know –
- Only those who are in Christ, those who are genuinely born again, can confront the strongman. Psa. 44:4-7. Without divine connection through Jesus Christ, without being deeply rooted in Christ, nobody can confront the strongman. Every strongman is entrenched in a stronghold; he is the spiritual Bin Laden operating from Kandahar. Before you can overthrow the strongman, you must receive power from above. You need to understand the believer’s authority – Matt. 28:18-20 “… all power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth, go ye therefore and teach all nations …world”. Luke 10:19. All power here means authority and dynamic power; we have authority; exousia and dunamis. When you have delegated power and you refuse to use it, it is useless. What you don’t celebrate will eventually take a walk! Christians are supposed to be the most powerful people in the universe in the real sense of it. Again, whenever you want to confront the strongman, you must remind yourself of what the book of 1 John 4:4 says “… greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”. Therefore, no matter how strong the strongman is, we are greater because He that is in us is greater than the strongman. If you don’t know who you are, you will be called what you are not.
- You must be skilled in the application of the weapons of our warfare. 2 Cor. 10:4 “for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds”. Every strongman has a gate man, if you are not well kitted, you will be bounced at the gate.
- The name of Jesus – you are not coming in your name but in the name of Jesus Christ. When you say ‘in the name of Jesus’ does heaven recognize you as part and parcel of Christ? You must get it right at the conversion level so that what happened to the seven sons of Sceva in the book of Acts 19:13-16 will not happen to you. Phil. 2:9-11 – every strongman has a knee and if he has a knee, he must bow at the mention of the name of Jesus.
- You must know how to appropriate the blood of Jesus – using the blood of Jesus Christ to fight. Rev. 12:11 “and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”. If you want to be an overcomer, you must come by the blood of Jesus. Remember that the blood does not avail unless it is applied, so you must know how to apply the blood. It is the joker. It is the spiritual atomic bomb that you must release before Pharaoh will let you go. It is the blood of everlasting covenant. When you approach spiritual warfare through the blood of Jesus Christ, you will come out unhurt and you will devastate the enemy. This is because the blood of Jesus Christ: Nullifies the legal authority of the enemy over you. The blood of Jesus Speaks and Is the blood of total liberation from the dry pit where the enemy has put you.
- The weapon of Praise, especially prophetic praise. Psa 149. Praise releases the presence of God. When you pray, God sends an angel but when you praise, God comes down! If you want to enjoy sweatless victories from now till the end of the year and enter 2018 on a note of celebration, try praise. Live a praiseful life, a praiseful life is a sweet life. Let your life overflow. The word hallelujah is derived from the Hebrew word ‘halal’ which is associated with the overthrow of the wicked.

“Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house and spoil
his goods, except he first bind the strong man? And then he will
spoil his house. He that is not with me is against me, and he
that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad”.

- Jesus, I celebrate You for the victory over satan, thank you for the victory you won over satan and all his hosts. I celebrate you because Your victory is my victory, thank You Jesus, in Jesus name.
- Thank You heavenly Father for the generous provision you have made for me. Thank You for Your wisdom, thank You for Your generosity, thank You for Your love, thank You for Your kindness, thank You for giving man a second chance, thank You for the finished work at Calvary. I give You glory. I celebrate Your goodness, I celebrate Your dependability, I celebrate Your faithfulness. Thank You mighty God, in Jesus name.
- I re-dedicate every aspect of my life to Jesus Christ, my body, soul, spirit, mind, will, emotion, initiative, the entirety of my personality, everything that concerns me, I rededicate to Jesus Christ and I proclaim in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that the victory of the Lord Jesus Christ at the cross is my victory. I proclaim through the finished work of my Lord and Saviour Jesus, that all my sins are forgiven, my name is written eternally in the Book of Life, I have access to all the covenant blessings and privileges. I have dominion over sin, over self, over satan and all his works, over all his demons, over all his principalities, over all his power, rulers of darkness of this world, over all his schemes, wiles and strategies. I have dominion over sickness, disease, death, and hell. I have dominion over poverty, scarcity, lack, sorrow and misery in the name of Jesus. My dominion is enforced, established and sealed with the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
- I plead the blood of Jesus Christ against you, the strongman responsible for any long-standing difficulty in my life (mention them). I overcome you by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I bind you today and I destroy your works, I terminate your operation in every area of my life. Thus far you come, you go no further in the name of Jesus. You, the strongman, responsible for any sickness, disease and affliction in my life, I raise the blood of Jesus against you; I overcome you by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I bind you today and cast you into the abyss, I destroy your works, I terminate your operation in every area of my life in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to send Your ministering angels with flaming swords in their hands to locate and overthrow every evil strongman delegated against my family, wherever that strongman is, be overthrown in the name of Jesus. You strongman of ancestral idolatry, be overthrown right now in the name of Jesus.
- You that strongman opposing my miracle and progress, I plead the blood of Jesus Christ against you, I overcome you by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I bind you and cast you into the abyss; I destroy your works and terminate your operation in every area of my life in the name of Jesus.
- Ask God for mercy over the nation of Nigeria and ask Him to roll away the reproach of idolatry, perversion, corruption and to cleanse the nation from every deception and contamination. Ask God to wipe away every evil record against this nation in the name of Jesus.
- Every unrighteous authority set over this nation, be overthrown in the mighty name of Jesus. Heavenly Father, let righteousness reign in this nation, let Your glory be revealed in the name of Jesus.
- Father, you are my King O God, command restoration of whatever the enemy has damaged or tampered with in my life and family, undo everything the enemy has done in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
