4th DAY – God’s Love for Man

There is always need to appreciate what God has done for us. What Lucifer wanted most; to be like the Most High, was what God bestowed upon man freely. God said, “let us make man in our image, after our likeness”. The creation of man was a product of parliamentary decision. After man sinned, God could have wiped him out completely but instead God decided to give man a second chance. Where will be seed of woman come from since the Adamic seed is already corrupted? It was man that sinned, so it is man that must pay the penalty. An angel could not have paid because it was not an angel that sinned. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin so blood must have to be shed. The question is, whose blood? God, in His omniscience, already had it figured out. He had a Son; He wanted a family, so He had to sow His Son.

Anytime you sin, you are exhibiting ingratitude because it is the battle of wills as in the case of Lucifer when he planned in his heart to rebel against God and God had to banish him and his supporting angels. If God created man to always oblige to His will, man will cease from being a free moral agent. The ability to choose is what separates man from every other creature but this is what man violates constantly. How did God resolve this difficult situation?

God had to send His Son through a virgin whose womb He had prepared. The Holy Spirit came upon her and conception took place – the seed of the woman, one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man. This is the reason why the Holy Spirit always move wherever the blood of Jesus is applied. Does Mary deserve to be praised (her womb carried the Messiah)? Yes. Does she deserve to be worshipped? No! That is an error. After Mary had Jesus and fulfilled the purpose of God, He allowed her to use her womb to conceive other children through her husband Joseph.

God’s Son had to die who knew no sin, a sinless blood, a sinless seed of divinity. He came to His own people but they not only rejected him, they crucified Him. When they were crucifying Him, they never knew that they were furthering the purpose of God. Every mockery, every insult and pain that Christ suffered were part of the redemption programme. If you have this revelation and you decide to collaborate with Christ, your life will be an enigma to the devil because whenever he lifts his hand against you, he will be committing a blunder.

Stephen, in Acts 7, was aligned with the will of God, even when he was being stoned to death, he was able to pray the right prayer and as a result, Saul was converted. Jesus paid the ultimate price and God has harvest of sons. The challenge is that of the will. Which will are you aligned to? Light or darkness? God’s programme is still on course; you must ensure that you are always fulfilling the purpose of God by constantly being in fellowship with Him. Jesus said my meat is to do will of my Father. Many things will be vying for your attention but you must come to the point where you will say like Apostle Paul “for me to live is Christ, and to die is gain”. You must align yourself with the purposive will of God in order to fulfil it. This is how to be a true success, a true champion and to be more than a conqueror. We are to celebrate Christ on a daily basis not only at Christmas. We must place value on what God has done for us. Salvation is free but not cheap; it cost God His very best.

God went beyond forgiveness to adopting the very people who crucified Christ. This is the meaning of grace. Our response should be that of acceptance and gratitude.
