Many times, God releases our blessings earlier than we expect. In Dan. 9 and 10, as soon as Daniel set his heart to pray, there was a release but for twenty-one days, the prince of Persia mounted a blockade against the angel mandated to convey the answer to Daniel. However, Daniel did not exhibit a negative attitude during this period; he continued to pray and wait. Many things happen when we pray that we don’t know. This shows the kind of forces that are fighting our breakthroughs. God took the initiative to send a reinforcement through the warrior angel Michael to dismantle the blockade.
Dan. 11:32 “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits”. Many people overlook the first part of this scripture to quote the second part but the first part is more important than the second. The worst thing that can happen to any believer is to be corrupted by flatteries. What does it mean to be corrupted by flatteries? It means to be derailed like a train that has missed the rail. Such train can never get to its destination. It is like a star that has missed its orbit. The Covenant is the revealed will of God. Those who don’t take God by His word; those who are not serious with their walk with God shall be corrupted by flatteries (money, fame, position, success etc).
Do you know that it is the spirit that leads you through life that will ultimately lead you home? Don’t ever judge anything until you understand the spirit. Many times, the battle is that of the spirit but quite a number of people do not understand this and because many Christians don’t understand, they submit to the wrong spirit. This should not be; before the ark, it is dagon that must bow and not the other way round. Many people were dedicated to idols without their knowledge, eventually, it is the spirits of those idols that will control them and lead them through life. If the spirit is not the Holy Spirit, the destination is hell. It is only the Holy Spirit that guarantees you an abode in heaven.
A lot of spirits are looking for bodies to have expression, unfortunately many people allow such spirits to possess them. If you don’t discern spirits, you will make wrong decisions. When people lack discernment, they hug satan and bind the Holy Spirit. A Christian should lead a life of constant renunciation because everywhere you go there are spirits that want to corrupt, seduce and deceive you. Apostle Paul addressed this extensively in the book of Ephesians 6. Be very careful about what your soul lusts after because that is what the enemy will use to seduce you eventually. Your enemy is not flesh and blood; the spirit that is leading your enemy is your enemy.
Renunciation means burning the bridge. As African Christians, we have a lot to renounce and keep renouncing. You must cut yourself off from many things. You cannot be a good Christian if you don’t renounce these things; the Holy Spirit cannot use you if you don’t renounce them. Real life comes from the Holy Spirit; it is the Holy Sprit that led Jesus and that was why He finished well. You must cut yourself off from the incursions of contaminating spirits. They make it difficult for you to fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Always ask yourself ‘which spirit is directing my life?’ It is that spirit that will lead you to your final destination.
PRAYER
- Holy Spirit, I thank You that You love me so much that You have adopted me and put a seal upon my life. I declare that I belong to You forever; everything in me belong to You. Jesus, I declare that You are the head of my family and I belong to You forever. Every claim of idolatry over my life is a lie from the pit of hell.
- I renounce you ancestral idolatry, priesthood of idolatry, witchcraft influence, spirits of household wickedness, evil covenants, marine contaminations, evil ancestral heritage, evil initiations, evil sacrifices in the name of Jesus. I renounce every evil covenants that I entered into or that was entered into on my behalf by whosoever at whatsoever time in my life even before I was conceived in my Mother’s womb, I raise the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth against you, I overwhelm you by the blood of Jesus Christ, I bind you and cast you into the abyss, I destroy your works and terminate your operation over my life, thus far you come, you go no further, be utterly destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus.
- I renounce the influence of evil altars, familiar spirits, agents of the devil masquerading as my relative, I renounce your authority over me, I raise the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth against you, I destroy you and terminate your operations in my life in the mighty name of Jesus.
- I raise the blood of Jesus Christ against any evil incursion into my dream life; any power that has ever fought against the purpose of God in my life, your time is up, I overwhelm you by the blood of the lamb and by the word of my testimony, thus far you come, you go no further, I destroy your works and terminate your operation in every area of my life in the name of Jesus.
- I proclaim that through the finished work of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth, all my sins are forgiven. My name is written eternally in the book of life. I proclaim that Holy Spirit has adopted me. Holy Ghost, you are my guide, guide me, and lead me in the name of Jesus. I proclaim that through the finished work of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I have access to all the covenant blessings, rights and privileges. I proclaim that I have comprehensive dominion over witchcraft, familiar sprits, ancestral heritage, ancestral idolatry, evil covenants, sin, self, satan and all his works and all his agents, I have dominion over sickness, disease, death and hell, I have dominion over poverty, scarcity and lack, I have dominion over occultism, I have dominion over kedar, in the name of Jesus.
- Pray in tongues.
