Text – Isa. 61:8-11- This is the divine agenda of God for his people and it is borne out of his deep-seated love for us. God wants to give you a new deal but you need to receive it. Things are the way they are in your life today because of the old deal. The word covenant is a legal term. It means an agreement that is binding between two or more people and you don’t break it without repercussions. Evil agreements control lives generationally. Spiritual agreements are very potent. If you break a spiritual agreement, demons will enter.
What is the major key that God has given us, his children, as enunciated in the scripture above? Covenant. God can never walk with you deeply except by covenant. Covenant relationships are very deep. It is amazing that traditionalists understand the concept at times more than the children of God do. When two infatuated people of opposite sex come together and decide to bond, they will cut themselves and drink the blood that is dripping from the wound and enter into a blood covenant. The deliverance session for such people is usually very serious and tedious. What I don’t understand is that even after confessing Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour, these things still hold them down. In the place of deliverance, the manifestations are usually unbelievable.
I have seen several terrible cases of covenants that hold people on one spot. If you don’t deal with them from the angle of revelational knowledge, they will not leave. You don’t deal with them superficially; they will not leave because they are binding. In the place of deliverance, we hear such things as her mother gave her to us, her husband gave her to us, her father gave her to us, do you know who we are? Do you know our mission in this house? (referring to the body of their victim) and so on. If you are in a church that does not believe in deliverance, I believe that you are in a wrong Church. The Bible is a book of deliverance. Pharaoh let me people go is the language of deliverance.
One the things that give demons leeway to operate in people’s lives is breaking of covenants which a lot of Christians do on a daily basis without feeling anything. Many marriage covenants are broken less than one week after the consummation of the marriage. When God says flee from every appearance of evil, it is for your own good. Do you know that if you have sex with anybody outside marriage, you have entered into an evil blood covenant with the person? There is a way of escape that God has made for his children that no matter how terrible the case may be, you can get out of it through the key of the blood of the everlasting covenant. The blood speaks. Heb. 12:22-24. The blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is speaking better things.
Demonic blood covenants can be entered into through incisions in the body, tribal marks, circumcision performed by satanic agents, fornication, rape, adultery, animal sacrifice, abortion, blood baptism (bathing with blood of an animal) and love portion. A lot of things were transferred to you from birth without your knowledge that you need to be delivered from; there are evil soul ties that need to be broken. These things are very deep and you must deal with them. Glory to God, he has made a way of escape. Zech. 9:11 “As for thee also by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water”. The blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God’s son, is the blood of total liberation from evil covenants. You must have this revelation.
You can get into evil covenants through evil dedications. Evil dedications speak. What is dedication? Dedication is a hand over. Many men are struggling today because of evil dedications – things that are speaking from the day they were handed over. Any person that has authority over you can hand you over if you allow him. There is the case of a man who was dedicated to a python. At a particular time in every year, he will lose all the money he made in the previous year mysteriously; it was such a terrible situation that he was actually considering committing suicide. On investigation, we discovered that he was actually dedicated to a python. Many marriages are dedicated wrongly in the name of traditional rites. Many of these traditional rites are rooted in serious idolatry that covenants the marriage to evil altars and demons. A lot of Christians participate in satanic festivals that have their root in idolatry. Even after you have dedicated yourself in the Church, if you go out and get entangled in these things, the covenant remains. An evil dedication can run for over 600 years, it ties people down to satanic networks that are speaking for generations. If you say ‘yes’ to Jesus, let it be Jesus alone, there is absolutely nothing you need that you cannot find in him.
The beautiful thing about the blood of Jesus is that it is the blood of everlasting covenant, the blood that supersedes every other blood. Where the blood of Jesus Christ is speaking, death is terminated. What is the power of the blood of Jesus? The very life of Christ is in the blood. And what makes the blood of Jesus so potent? The conception of Jesus was by the power of the Holy Ghost that is why anywhere the blood of Jesus speaks, Holy Ghost moves. Anywhere the blood of Jesus is operating, demons are sent parking. Don’t get yourself entangled again after the prayer of dedication at the end of this message. Knowledge of the consequences of sin should deter you from committing it, no matter how enticing it is, you must say ‘No’.
Renunciation is very important. You must burn the bridge. What business has light with darkness? When you say you are a child of God, there is no meeting point. Deliverance is not an event. Your total liberation is based on your lifestyle. If you want to have comprehensive dominion over demons, you must burn the bridge.
There are other serious covenants like religious covenants. Example of this is found in Isa. 1:13-14. What evil covenants do to people is terrible. Many people have covenant with death.
What is the way out?
- Repentance
- Surrender completely to Christ
- Break the covenant using the authority of the name of Jesus
- Appropriate the blood of Jesus Christ
- Bind the demons
- Command restoration
- Thank God for your deliverance.
PRAYER
- Lord, I bless and magnify your name for the provisions you have made for my total liberation, thank you Lord for the blood of the everlasting covenant, thank you for the authority you have given me in the name of Jesus Christ, thank you mighty God. I worship and adore you. All glory to unto you forever, in Jesus name.
- Lord, search through my heart, any evil covenant that I have entered into consciously or unconsciously, I am sorry, please forgive me, wash me, cleanse me, purge me, purify me and make me holy and acceptable unto you in Jesus name.
- Lord, I acknowledge you, thank you for helping me; I thank you for keeping me, thank you for providing for me. Today, I unreservedly hand over my life to you, Jesus Christ, son of the Most High God, I ask you to take absolute control of my body, soul, spirit, mind, will, emotion, initiative, and my personality. Have your way in my life.
- Jesus, I re-dedicate all that concerns me to you and to you alone. You are the son of the Most High God; you laid down your life for me on the cross at Calvary. Through your death, burial and resurrection, I receive forgiveness of sins; through the blood that you shed on mount Calvary, I proclaim that I am free from every condemnation and from every evil agreement. Thank you Jesus. I enthrone you and ask you, henceforth, take control. I proclaim that I am now in you. My life is hid with you in God, thank you Jesus.
- Every claim of idolatry over my life is a lie; it shall not stand, in the mighty name of Jesus.
- I use the power in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to release myself right now from every evil blood covenant in the name of Jesus.
- Put your hands on your head and pray – In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I release myself from any curse that came as a result of the evil covenant in the name of Jesus. I release myself right now. I break any evil hidden covenant operating in my life, break in the name of Jesus. Any evil dream covenant operating in my life, break right now, in the mighty name of Jesus. Any evil ancestral covenant operating in my life, break right now, in the name of Jesus. Any evil unconsciously or consciously made covenant operating in my life, break right now, any evil religious covenant operating in my life, break right now, in the mighty name of Jesus.
- I use the power in the mighty name of Jesus to release myself from any conscious or unconscious evil blood covenant or any evil covenant I have entered into or that was entered into on my behalf my whosever at whatever time in my life or even before I was conceived in my mother’s womb, break right now in Jesus name.
- By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I release every organ in my body from the grip of evil covenants in the mighty name of Jesus.
- I bind you demons of evil covenants in the mighty name of Jesus. You will never operate again in any area of my life, I cast you into the abyss and I destroy your works, I terminate your operation in any area of my life, in the name of Jesus.
- In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command complete restoration of whatever that was stolen or tampered with in my life by evil covenants, in the mighty name Jesus.
- I sprinkle the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
