THERE IS A RIVER

God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. And so we need not fear even if the world blows up, and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam; let the mountains tremble. There is a river of joy flowing through the city of one God above all gods. (Psalms 46: 1-4 TLB)

One of the numerous blessings of salvation package is adoption into the family of God. Every truly born again believer is a child of the Most High God. We are connected to the Father through the death,  burial and resurrection of His Son,  Jesus Christ. The greatest connection is God – connection. The greatest thing any one can aspire to be is to be like Christ.  Any where there is a perfect connection, there will be a flow.  Any where there is a flow,  there will be deposits.

Unbelievers in their bid to navigate the storms and turmoils of life,  get connected to things that take them farther, and deeper into the abyss. Only Jesus can save.

As believers we need to daily celebrate what we have and who we are in Christ Jesus;  and through the Gospel be healing agents  in a sick world. We have a great commission.  God is our refuge and strength.  Our ever present help in times of trouble.  No mater the odds, no matter the crises, never forget:  ”there is a river of joy flowing through the city of God;  above all gods. The deposits of this river are: love, peace,  joy,  patience, faithfulness,  gentleness,  goodness,  meekness and temperance. Let the River flow through you.  Even if the world blows up, you need not fear. The River of God is the river of comprehensive restoration.

Heavenly Father I thank you for your infinite love for me. Thank you for calling me out of darkness to the marvelous light of your dear Son Jesus Christ. Jesus I ask you to grant me the grace to live for you.  Make the remaining part of my life the most fruitful in your kingdom service. Amen.
