”So Jesus said it again, ”With all the earnestness I possess I tell you this: Unless you eat the flesh of the Messiah and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you. But anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him at the last Day. For my flesh is the true food; and my blood is the true drink. Everyone who eats my flesh and drink my blood is in me and I in him. I live by the power of the living Father who sent me, and in the same way those who partake of me shall live because of me.” (John 6: 53 – 57 TLB)
Just as our natural life is naturally nourished by bread and water, so our heavenly life must be nourished by heavenly food and drink by Jesus Himself. Eternal life is the life of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ came to earth in the first place to reveal eternal life in the flesh and then to communicate it to us who are in the flesh. The wonderful thing about eternal life in Christ is that it was eternal life in a human body.
”Everyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood is in me and I in him.”
What a privilege! When we drink the blood of the Son of man, we become one with Him; we become partakers of His divine nature.
”I live by the power of the living Father who sent me, and in the same way those who partake of me shall live because of me.” There is abundant life in the blood of Christ!
Jesus bore our sin in His body on the tree, and by His death and resurrection, He delivered the body as well as the spirit from the power of sin and death. As the first fruits of this redemption, we are now one body, of His flesh and of His bones. It is because of this that in the observance of the Holy communion the Lord comes to the body also and takes possession of it.
On our part, we need to stretch our hand of faith to receive the fullness of the blessings of our redemption. Our ministry has witnessed so many tremendous move of the Holy Spirit with tangible miracles anytime the Blood of Jesus Christ was appropriated by faith. There is incredible power in the Blood of Jesus. Experience it!

P R A Y E R
Eternal Most Holy God, I adore your majesty. Glory hallelujah. May your Name be praised. I thank you for your generous expression of love and kindness towards me when you gave your Son to die for me. Jesus, I celebrate you. I proclaim O Lord that your blood is my life drink. I pray that you who have washed me and cleansed me by that blood will teach me everyday to eat your flesh and drink your blood so that I may abide in you and you in me. Amen.
