God is so interested in lightening the path of his children that he has designed it in such a way that there will be a lamp. The absence of light is what makes people to stumble; it makes people to hit the rocks. When people are in the dark, they hug their enemies and fight their divine helpers. Many years back, I invited a couple for counselling after receiving a complaint from the husband who believed that his wife was the one responsible for all his problems. The Holy Spirit took control of the counselling session and at the end, they were reconciled. Anywhere you find darkness, you will find emptiness, voidness, violence, every evil thing and all manner of creeping things. The devil also comes with his demons when there is darkness. Darkness is wicked. When people are in the dark, they do not see opportunities around them, when people are operating in the dark, they will crucify the messiah and set Barabbas free, when people are operating in the dark, they enthrone darkness and reject Jesus, when people are operating in the dark, they sell their inheritance for pittance and travel to overseas to do menial jobs. Recently, the Lord made me to realize that not all Pastors are men of God. That settled a lot of things for me. When people are in the dark, they will worship the wrong god and rationalize it; when in the dark, people will worship the creature and reject the creator. It is stupidity to enthrone darkness and expect things to prosper.
Parents, if you are not raising your children to eat the word of God and digest it, there is danger. The world out there is full of darkness and there is so much distortion, contamination, pollution, defilement and derailment. How are you equipping your children to cope with what is out there? A world where they will be taught that truth is relative. Truth ceases to be truth if it is not absolute. John 17:17 says “Sanctify them by thy truth: thy word is truth”. Anywhere you find truth, you will find light. It is the same personality that is truth and light. If you want your children to shine, impregnate them with the word of God. They will carry so much light inside of them that when they get into the midst of those people anywhere they go, they will have so much truth and light in them that darkness will not be able to contaminate them. There is no short cut. The world is sick and the healing of the world must start from the Church but it must not be a compromised Church or a Church of excuses. Every excuse is reinforced lie; consolidated lie.
The voice of the crowd is the voice of darkness. Politicians say that the voice of the people is the voice of God. This is a lie from the pit of hell. It is not supported by any word in the Bible. It was the voice of the people that destroyed Saul. That is the reason why before you become a man of God, you must have so much of God in you that He is the only one you take instructions from. You must hear God before taking any step. His word is light. Our path is supposed to be the path of the righteous that shines from brightness to brightness unto a perfect noonday. God is so interested in light that He has designed it in such a way that any step you take will be lamp. God has so much interest in this that he spoke through the mouth of Joshua, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”. Josh.1:8. If you want your children to shine, load them with the word, in fact, start reading the Bible aloud immediately you conceive, they can hear. By so doing, they will carry so much light inside of them that they will never want to eat swine’s food. This is the secret.
