WORD FOR TODAY

BLESSED IN THE FIELD (PART II)

”How enviable the man whom God corrects! Oh, do not despise the chastening of the Lord when you sin. For though he wounds, he binds and heals again. He will deliver you again and again, so that no evil can touch you.

He will keep you from death in famine, and from the power of the sword in time of war. You will be safe from slander, no need to fear the future. You shall laugh at war and famine; wild animals will leave you alone. Dangerous animals will be at peace with you. You need not worry about your home while you are gone; nothing shall be stolen from your barns.

Your sons shall become important men. Your descendants shall be as numerous as grass. You shall live a long good life; like standing grain you’ll not be harvested until it’s time.

I have found from experience that all of this is true. For your own good listen to my counsel.” (Job 5: 17-27 TLB)

The wonderful blessings above can be all yours if you surrender every facet of your life to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Man was created to have dominion according to Genesis 1:28. When Adam sinned in the garden of Eden, man lost it. Sin distorts the glory of God in man. (Romans 3:23). Anywhere the glory of God has left, wild beasts will be on the sprawl. Thank God, everything man lost in Adam has been restored in Christ Jesus. The field is the place to exercise dominion over wild beasts. Christ has given us the power (and authority) to trample upon snakes and scorpions. We have power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us. (see Like 10:19)

We have comprehensive dominion in Christ Jesus. You are blessed at home and in the field.
