DOMINION OVER DARKNESS (PART IV) THE LORD IS MY LIGHT

How do you deal with internal darkness? Whatever the Lord tells you to drop, drop it. It is for your own good. Drop bitterness, drop lying, drop malice, drop resentment, drop evil associations. You cannot be fraternizing with darkness and expect light to shine. You must realize that it is not every connection that is God’s connection. If you connect to darkness, you will never shine. I am an Electrical Engineer by profession by the grace of God, I know about connections. A good connection will electrify but a bad connection can electrocute. One of my friends attended different stages of interview in a multinational organization some years back. At the final stage of the interview, which was very easy, he was asked to do a connection but out of nervousness or carelessness, he mixed up the colour of the cables and in the process, a very expensive system blew up. Of course, that was the end of the interview. When God says, flee from every appearance of evil he is saying flee from darkness, run away from evil associations. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away”. Psa. 1:1-4.

Another positive thing you need to do if you want God to be your light is eat the word of God. Stop eating what unbelievers eat; stop eating swine’s food. If you visit the homes of some Christians, you will be amazed. Some Christians still have bars in their homes. Why do you need to drop these things? You are gradually becoming what you are eating – by their food, ye shall know them. Drop evil habits; clean up. When God wants to promote you, the first thing he will tell you is what you need to drop. This is because sin has a weight and anything that has weight responds to the law of gravity. Anything that has weight is a drag. What lower things of this world are you still clinging on to? Those are the things that will stop you from shining; those are the things that will cut short the glory. The God we are serving is holy. If you want God to manifest so that his light will shine through you, sanctify yourself. Josh. 3:5 says “And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you”. If you want to see the wonders of God, sanctify yourself. To sanctify is to clean up; take away the dross.

We cannot keep silence where darkness is aggressively working to take possession of homes, schools, institutions and even the Church of God. Darkness is getting bolder and louder. Why? Those whose responsibility it is to take charge have compromised. If you don’t confront darkness, it will take root. The programme of darkness is already on; to steal, to kill and to destroy. The real Church, the Church that has not compromised, must speak up. The Church of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ must declare ‘Let there be light’. But before you can do that, you must be properly connected. In the spirit realm, you cannot give what you don’t have. If you are light, you will shine and your fruit will speak. If you are darkness, on the other hand, it will show by your fruits. We should be grateful to God that God is still in charge and that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. We are all witnesses to the fast fulfilment of prophecies. This age is winding down; please align properly with light in every area of your life. Be at the positive side of prophecy; be at the light side of prophecy, don’t be at the judgment side.
