THAT I MAY KNOW HIM
“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus”.(Philippians 3:10 – 12 KJV)
Knowledge is so important in the Christian race that words related to it are used over one thousand times in the New Testament. Paul was already a highly educated man in Jewish law when he had a life changing encounter with Jesus Christ. From that moment Paul’s mission became “that I may know him”.
Jesus gives real meaning to life. Paul understood that any knowledge that is not Christ centered has no eternal value. Any success without Christ is earth – bound. The rest of his life was devoted to the gospel of Christ. God used him to write over a third of the books in the New Testament; what a fruitful life.
Jesus Christ Gods son is the author and finisher of our faith. Only in him can there be eternal life. Only in him is there comprehensive success. Any success on earth that shuts the gate of heaven to one is failure. Comprehensive success is success that continues hereafter. Heaven is real. Jesus is the way. No one can make heaven without him.
Jesus says:
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent”(John 17:3 KJV)
My dearly beloved, this age is winding down very fast. Every passing moment takes you closer to eternity. There are crucial questions to answer:
- Do you really know God?
- Does God really know you?
- What God purpose are you serving in your generation?
- If the rapture takes place right now will you fly?
- Where will you spend eternity?
A C T I O N P O I N T
Dear Heavenly Father, I worship you. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Please have mercy on me. And forgive all my sins. Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, I unreservedly surrender my life to you. I confess that you died and rose from the dead for me. Please be my Lord and personal saviour, and grant me the grace to live for you all the days of my life. Thank you so much Lord Jesus, I proclaim I am born again. Amen

Grant me the grace to live for you and be all you want me to be. Empower me by your spirit to accomplish all you want me to accomplish. Make the remaining part of my life to be the most fruitful, impactful and successful. I solely depend on you to make heaven at last in Jesus name I have prayed. Amen.
