DOMINION OVER DARKNESS (PART IX) HOW TO STAY RAPTURE READY

2b. The cross of Christ remains the greatest altar ever raised. An altar is a meeting place between human beings and spirit beings. It is a place of exchange, a place of covenant, a place of sacrifice. Comprehensive dominion is through the blood of the Lamb. “And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony”. Rev. 12:11. If you want to walk in dominion over sinful habits, learn to go to the cross on a daily basis. Stop rationalizing that habit! Some people refer to sin as habit and not sin. What they fail to realize is that there is what is called ‘sinful habits’. You can never change what you tolerate or rationalize. You must come to the point of realization that every sin is dangerous, sin is worse than cancer. Sin opens you up for satanic attacks. Sin opens you up for all manner of terrible things, it is gateway for demons to operate. Sin demeans the image and glory of God in man. Above all, sin can short circuit a destiny. Sin does not affect God, God hates sin in you because he loves you and he does not want his image in you to be distorted. Do yourself a favour, if you have any secret sin that you are struggling with, run to the cross and receive strength. As you are stepping out of that place, you are being transformed to begin to walk in dominion. Jesus has grace for you to overcome every sin if indeed you are willing and totally surrendered to obey him. If you are willing, there is abundant grace. Grace has been so watered down to mean licence to sin. True grace is not a licence to sin but a heavenly empowerment to overcome sin. You have grace to overcome sin. Acts 24:16 says “And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men”. You must learn to take responsibility for your actions. Before any sin is committed, it usually goes through three stages – conception, incubation and delivery stages. You can abort sin at any stage but the best stage to abort sin is at the conception stage. Prov. 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”. 1 Pet. 1:15-16 “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy”. Holiness is not optional for anybody who wants to fly. Without holiness, no one can see God. The Church must return to holiness. Some of us were fortunate to have given our life to Christ in the early 70s. Christianity of the 70s was very different from what we have today. You could identify and relate with a child of God and you will not be disappointed. Then, there was the fear of God, there was heaven-consciousness and God consciousness in a child of God, you could see the manifestation of Christian character in those who profess Christianity, you could enter into a business relationship with a child of God without entertaining any fear.
