DOMINION OVER DARKNESS (PART IX) HOW TO STAY RAPTURE READY

3b. Faith without consecration is equal to confusion. God will not lower his standards because of anybody. The meaning of sin is ‘to miss the mark’ and it is very easy to miss the mark. If you study the story of king Uzaiah in 2 Chro, you will notice that as long as Zechariah was his mentor, he was powerful, prosperous and successful. But after the death of Zechariah, he allowed a presumptuous sin – pride – to enter. With the coming of pride came corruption. Any kind of perversion is corruption. From that moment, he began to fall. It was the presumptuous sin that made him to commit a blunder. He entered into the temple and ursurped the right of the priest to offer incense. King Uziah ignored the warning of the priests and offered the incense. On the spot, he was struck with leprosy and he was banished. It is very easy to trespass.           

It is not every open door that is God’s door, some are satan’s trap. A true child of God does not take any step that God has not endorsed. Always ask the question ‘God, are you in this? If you are not in it, please stop me’. It is very easy to veer off. If you study the story of the kings of Judah, you will discover that any time the king of Judah went to Israel to form an alliance, God’s wrath will descend. Why? You are not to frolic with those whom God has judged. You should mind your association. Break away from sinful associations if you want God to bless you.                                  

True holiness is not just loving God and doing what pleases you. It is loving God and going out of your way to do what pleases him; loving things that God loves and hating things that God hates. There are people you cannot partner with without incurring the wrath of God. There are people that must not be in your ship; you cannot make friends with them and expect to arrive at your destination. Constantly check your life, your ways and your walk with God; check your relationship with people, the kind of things that occupy your time, your heart and the things you enjoy. The proof of your love is in your pursuits. You must check and be sure that they are in line with the word of God and that they will help you in the race to heaven, if not, cut them off.              

There are some children of God who specialize in eating swine’s food, unknown to them; they are becoming what they eat. Receive strength to drop those things. What lower things of the earth are you holding on to? They are the things that will prevent you from flying. If you want to fly, drop them. Luke 21:34-36 “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time, your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man”. Take note that it is not every body that will escape. Read Mark 9:43-48 and Psa. 139:23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting”. This should be the attitude of anyone who wants to get it right with God. The good thing about this is that once you set your mind to do the right thing, heaven will back you up and grant you the grace to accomplish it.
