DOMINION OVER DARKNESS (PART XIV) CONFRONTING WITCHCRAFT (PART 2) DEALING WITH INIQUITY IN THE HEART

You cannot adequately deal with perversion until you have dominion over the agents of perversion. Witches are  very serious perverts, enemies of progress, which you cannot deal with kid’s gloves. If you can dismantle and eliminate the structures of witchcraft in your family, you can rest assured that your family will be restored; every member of your family will begin to enjoy unprecedented progress.

No one can exercise dominion over darkness whose heart is dark. No one can effectively confront witchcraft with iniquity in his or her heart. Psa. 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (KJV). A little iniquity in the heart short-circuits the flow of the anointing. It blocks prayer. This is one of the reasons why many people pray without results. It is a heart issue and whenever you are dealing with heart issues, you must be very careful. That is why God says in his word, “Keep thy heart with all (not partial) diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” Prov. 4:23 (KJV). You cannot be effective in spiritual warfare if you do not have a pure heart. Purity is power.

Witchcraft is perversion while iniquity is the perversion of light. The real meaning of iniquity is turning away from light. It is a manifestation of darkness. No one can turn away from light until that person has become an embodiment of darkness and the Bible tells us that every unrighteousness is sin. 1 John 5:17.

Luke 8:5-8 reads, “A farmer went out to his field to sow grain. As he scattered the seed on the ground, some of it fell on a footpath and was trampled on; and the birds came and ate it as it lay exposed. Other seed fell on shallow soil with rock beneath. This seed began to grow, but soon withered and died for lack of moisture. Other seed landed in thistle patches, and the young grain stalks were soon choked out. Still other fell on fertile soil; this seed grew and produced a crop one hundred times as large as he had planted. (as he was giving this illustration he said, ‘if anyone has listening ears, use them now’)” (TLB).

The parable of the sower gives us at least four different types of heart condition: –

  1. A wayward heart. This is the seed that fell on the wayside. You can always tell a wayward heart through its waywardness. This type of heart is full of worldliness, it is full of lust (lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life), it is full of spiritual dust and pursuits of vanity.
  2. A stony heart. See Matt. 13:20-21. “But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;; yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended” (KJV). Many people are offended by the word of God. This is one of the problems with modern day Christianity; people are no longer broken. The essence of the word of God is to x-ray your heart and then bring you to the point of brokenness. Thereafter, the Holy Spirit will take over and begin to work in you. Why go to Church if you don’t want to be transformed? Why go to Church if you don’t want to drop the things that are holding you in captivity? Why go to Church if you are not willing to drop the things that block your prayer from receiving results? Why go to Church if you are not prepared to allow the Master to have his way in your heart and conform you to his image? The best thing you can ever be is to be like him so that where he is there also you will be. A stony heart is a dangerous heart, very shallow with superficial Christianity; Christianity that has no depth, nothing can grow there. The person with a stony heart may be in the Church for years but because the heart condition is stony, the word of God cannot penetrate it.
