DOMINION OVER DARKNESS (PART XIV) CONFRONTING WITCHCRAFT (PART 2) DEALING WITH INIQUITY IN THE HEART

When you walk in dominion over darkness, heaven will back you up; you will become a miracle looking for where to happen. Before you call, the provision will be there. The resources of heaven will be made available to you. Nobody can have these blessings without cleaning up. If you don’t deal with the heart issue and all you are doing is surface to surface thing, the condition of your heart will remain the greatest blockade to your miracle.

Psa. 51:10 says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me”. This is one of the most important prayers, which every true child of God who wants to make it, must pray regularly. This is because in the heart of every Bishop, there is a Judas. It is one of the reasons why before I go to bed daily, I lay my hand on my heart and pray ‘my heart shall not grow evil, my heart shall not grow bitterness’ etc. This prayer shields me from any form of attack when I am asleep. Do you know that a servant of God must not strife? So when the devil sets a trap for you to be bitter, you must resist because bitterness will foul your spiritual countenance and block your heavens. Instead of heavenly dreams, you will begin to have demonic visitations.

This type of witchcraft is not external but internal. It is in the garden of the heart and that is why the Bible says “keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” Prov. 4:23. Fence off the snake! Whenever the devil stirs people up to offend or manipulate you, be wise. Go beyond the action to the spirit and kill the snake. Jesus himself did not spare the snakes, he called them “whited sepulcher” and he has given us the power to trample upon snakes in Luke 10:19 “behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (KJV)”.

The ability of the heart to fabricate things is incredible. One of the things you must remember is that people do not judge you according to the iniquity in your heart; they judge you based on the iniquity in their own heart. These are the things that damn and defile the soul of man; you must not allow them to germinate in the garden of your heart. The spirit of truth does not tolerate crookedness. You must work on your heart on a daily basis. You must come to a point in your walk with the Holy Spirit where you gracefully surrender and allow him to work in you. If you surrender to him, God will perform a heart surgery in you; he will change your heart condition from being a thorny and stony heart to a pure heart so that whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and so that when you call, God will answer. You must kill iniquity in your heart so that you can have comprehensive dominion over darkness and its agents.

Many times in spiritual warfare, people tend to be on the lookout for the external enemy. Look inwards first. Are you in any way guilty of what you are praying against? You must first of all clean up so that God can promote you. It is the cleaning up that will make your prayers to fly and make heaven happy with you.

If Christians can clean up, we will take the world for Christ. The greatest warfare there is, is spiritual warfare by righteousness; consecration. The only person the devil dreads is a consecrated worshipper like Daniel. Daniel operated in a very wicked and hostile environment where people conspired against him and threw him into the den of lions but the Lord delivered him, favoured him and promoted him. What was his secret? Dan. 1:8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank”.

James 4:7-9 says, “So be subject to God. Resist the devil (stand firm against him), and he will flee from you. Come close to God and He will come close to you. (Recognize that you are) sinners, get your soiled hands clean: (realize that you have been disloyal) wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts (of your spiritual adultery). (As you draw near to God) be deeply penitent and grieve, even weep (over your disloyalty). Let your laughter be turned to grief and your mirth to dejection and heartfelt shame (for your sins)” (TAB). What this scripture is emphasizing is deep repentance; that is what produces a changed heart. It takes digging deep to deal with iniquity because iniquity is not a surface thing, it is buried deeply in the heart.
