WORD FOR TODAY

WHEN I PRAY

Lord with all my heart I thank you. I will sing your praises before the armies of angels in heaven. I will face your temple as I worship, giving thanks to you for all your loving-kindness and your faithfulness, for your promises are backed by all the honour of your name. When I pray you answer me and encourage me by giving me all the strength I need. (Psalm 138:1-3 TLB)

One of the numerous blessings of the cross of Christ is access to Gods throne of grace. When Jesus gave up the ghost on the cross at cavalry, the veil separating the holy place from the holy of holies was thorn from up to down, which means we can now access the holiest place through Christ to find help in times of need. Prayer is a wonderful means of grace.

God’s promises are backed by all the honour of his name “When I pray, you answer me”. The promise attached to prayer is unlimited. “All things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer believing ye shall receive” (Matthew 21:22). Jesus said “whatsoever ye shall ask” (John 1413)”, “if ye shall ask anything” (John 14:14); “ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:17), “whatsoever ye ask the Father . . . He will give it you.” (John 16:23).

Jeremiah 33:3 says: “call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”.

God seeks communion with you. Take your burdens to God in prayer. Prayer opens the door of revelation. Prayer commands healing and restoration. Prayer lubricates your destiny path for comprehensive success. Prayer empowers you for the journey ahead. Prayer deprograms every program of hell for your life, and positions you for the boundless blessings of open heavens.

A song writer wrote: “I have found the answer, I have learnt to pray.” Don’t depend on yourself, but recognize that you need God. When you pray, expect an answer. You will not be disappointed. He is faithful who has promised

If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, do not hesitate anymore.  Say the simple prayer below:

Dear Heavenly Father, I worship you. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Please have mercy on me and forgive all my sins. Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, I unreservedly surrender my life to you. I confess that you died and rose from the dead for me. Please be my Lord and personal saviour, and grant me the grace to live for you all the days of my life. Thank you so much Lord Jesus. I proclaim I am born again. Amen.
