DOMINION BY THE THUNDER OF HIS POWER (PART 2) RELEASING THE THUNDER OF HIS POWER

It is the greatness of his power not yours. You are only a channel. You are only a connector so, once the connection is proper, then you can begin to practice the following: –

• The word of God. When you speak the word of God, it will be the word of God indeed. According to Psalm 29, the voice of God thunders; when you speak the word of God, the voice of God will thunder, you then become the mouthpiece of God. I have learnt a lot of things in the ministry of deliverance. Many times, during deliverance sessions, you will see people shouting and commanding demons to leave but the demons will stay put and even start entertaining themselves in an effort to wear out the deliverance team. But when a person who is consecrated comes and gives the same command that the others gave without even raising his voice, the demons will flee. So, what makes the difference? Take note that the only person the devil dreads is a consecrated worshipper. For the rest of my life, I want to be a consecrated worshipper and I enjoin you also to be a consecrated worshipper. There is a close relationship between consecration and concentration. If you wish to manifest sonship, purity is not an option. 1 John 3:1-3 says, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure”. Everyone that has the hope of being a son of God purifies himself. The word ‘purifieth’ means to make a habit of purifying; progressive sanctification is not optional. The reason why you no longer see the raw demonstration of the power of God in most Churches today is because of compromise. People want to be in the world and still want to be in the Church. It does not work that way. It is possible for you to be seventy years in the Lord and still be a baby and not a son. It is not automatic; you may be a child of God and not be a son. Only sons will manifest God’s power. If you want the voice of God to thunder whenever you release the word of God, consecrate yourself.  Purity is power. There are so many things that defile all over the place. If you know how God hates idolatry, you will run away from anything that has to do with it. Flee from every appearance of evil. After eating at the Lord’s table, don’t go and feast at the altar of satan; if you do, you are opening yourself up for attacks. There is so much syncretism in the Church today and you need to break away from it if you want the power of God to thunder through you. Purpose in your heart, like Daniel, that you will not be defiled.
