SUNDAY SERVICE

DOMINION BY THE THUNDER OF HIS POWER – RELEASING THE THUNDER OF HIS POWER.

  • Praise. Praise is the highest form of prayer. When you pray, God sends an angel but when you praise, God comes down! When God is giving you praise songs, just as he is giving us at the Holy Ghost Fellowship International, rejoice, because the implication is that he has fought and won for you, all he wants you to do is to praise him in order to sustain the victory. It is the power of his presence that gets the job done. Scriptures abound to that effect. 2 Chro. 20:22. It was praise that got the job done. The nation of Israel went to war with musical instruments and when they began to praise the thunder of his power was released and their enemies destroyed themselves. In Acts 16:25, we see Apostles Paul and Silas thrown into the Macedonian prison but at midnight when they began to praise, there was an earthquake in the prison and their chains were broken. Praise is a very powerful weapon of spiritual warfare. Praise is a very powerful weapon of deliverance. When you praise, the presence of God comes down; judges the padlocks and breaks the chains. I always enjoy it when we get into some dimensions of praise during deliverance sessions and I see people being slain by the power of the Holy Spirit while deliverance is taking place. There was this particular Sister, many years ago, who was brought for prayers. The sister looked like a 70-year-old woman when she came, meanwhile, she was a young woman. She was so sick that she couldn’t stand properly; she staggers when she stood. Whenever we started praising, she joined us to sing and she would do so until she fell.  This continued for some time. After few sessions with us, she was so visibly transformed. The sickness left her; the demons tormenting her also left and she became so young and pretty. By the time she returned to her base, suitors started coming to ask her hand in marriage. Glory to God. If you want sweatless victories, try the weapon of praise but you must select the songs that you listen to. The songs must be inspired by the Holy Spirit and must be sung by consecrated worshippers. Unfortunately, such consecrated worshippers are few because it takes discipline to become a consecrated worshipper. The devil knows the importance of praise and that is why he likes to attack that aspect of the Church. Remember that every music has a spirit. Most of the people that sing in Church choir are not consecrated and it is one of the easiest departments that can be defied. The devil takes pleasure in attacking the choir. If you are in the music department and you don’t fast, at least, once in a month, you are not only cheating yourself but you are preparing yourself to be an entertainer. God is not looking for entertainers, he is looking for people who will worship him in spirit and truth. Paul and Silas unleashed the weapon of praise and the thunder of God’s power was released; their chains were shattered. Isa. 30:29-31, “Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod”. As you begin to sing, the thunder of his power will be released and your enemies will be beaten down and they will never rise again.
