MAKE GOD YOUR TREASURE

Text – Job 22:21-30

This is an instruction which you can take or decide not to take. You must, however, remember that the instructions you follow determine the future you create; the instructions you follow determine your destination. Remember that your miracles are coded in instructions and that every tragedy in life is traceable to an instruction not obeyed. One of the ways to differentiate a wise person from a foolish person is their attitude to instructions.

Verse 21, “Quit quarrelling with God! Consider the folly of a creature quarreling with his creator. But that is exactly what a lot of people are doing. How? Any area of your life where you are still struggling to submit to the authority of God indicates the area where you are still disputing with God. One of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself is to tell yourself, ‘I quit struggling with God, I surrender my will to the will of God’. The word of God is the revealed will of God. If you are partial in obedience in any aspect of the revealed will of God, to that extent you are still quarreling with God. Pray – Lord, help me to stop struggling with obedience in any area of my life. Grant me the grace to surrender completely to your revealed will in every area of my life. please help me, I depend on you to take this vital decision. Lord, help me in the name of Jesus. In any way, that I have done it in the past, I am sorry, please have mercy on me and forgive me, in Jesus name.

“… Agree with him and you will have peace at last!” The moment you stop struggling with the word of God, you will have peace that passes all understanding. The is because the revealed will of God is the word of God, the word of God is Jesus and Jesus is the Prince of peace. If you align your will to the word of God which is the revealed will of God, you will have peace. Peace is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, it is also one of the blessings of the presence of God. May the peace of God that passes all understanding fill every aspect of your life this year and beyond. Let the peace of God fill your world until you become ‘peace-full’, in Jesus name.

“… His favour will surround you if you will only admit that you were wrong.” A lot of people find it very difficult to admit their fault. If you want to enjoy the blessings of God ceaselessly, never you go to bed with an unconfessed sin in your heart. What the favour of God can do in one day, 430 years of labour cannot do it. Pray – Lord, in any way that I have missed it in the past, I admit right now that I was wrong, please forgive me, help me, search my heart and remove every trace of impurity, remove every trace of iniquity, remove every trace of transgression, remove every trace of sin, and every trace of disobedience. Help me to walk with you. I ask that you surround me with favour; this year, encompass me with favour like a shield. Thank you faithful, God, in Jesus name.

“Listen to his instructions and store them in your heart.” The culture of memorizing scriptures is becoming scarce in the Church today. That is how to store God’s word in your heart. It is also one of the best ways to raise godly children in a sinful world. It is one of the ways to strengthen the spirit man and build your spiritual muscle. Jesus successfully used the word against the devil during his temptations, “It is written”, he said. One of the best ways to beat the enemy hands down when he comes with his suggestions is ‘it is written’. If you keep feeding your spirit man with the right food, your spiritual muscle will be so strengthened that the old man will not be able to have an upper hand. Besides, because the word of God is light and life, you will carry so much life and light in you that there will not be enough darkness that can confuse you. These are difficult times for raising children but you can successfully do it with this principle of raising them in line with the word of God and starting early.
