SUNDAY SERVICE

BLESSED BEYOND CURSE (PART 8I) – HE WAS WOUNDED FOR ME

We are serving a God that loves us more than any earthly Father because man does not really understand the true meaning of love. It was one of the things that was distorted when man fell.

We are talking about God whose very nature is love and if he could allow his Son to go to the cross for you, what do you think he can withhold from you? God has promised us that he will not withhold any good thing from us; he told us that if we delight ourselves in him, he will give us the desires of our heart. (Psa. 37:4). Do you know that if you make him your sun and your shield, no good thing will he withhold from you and all those who walk uprightly. Sun is for illumination. The glory of God will never be hidden again in your life in Jesus name. You need not advertize in order to be recognized; all you need is to connect properly to God and God Himself will advertize you.

The problem really is how can we align enough with God so that he can intervene in our lives and all the programme of blessings he has reserved for his children will begin to flow supernaturally to us? Everything in the world today programmes you to run away from the presence of God, trying unrelentingly to yank you out of God’s presence. Anything that succeeds in taking you away from the presence of God is your number one enemy because there is no safety anywhere else apart from His presence. He is our shield.

2 Tim. 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Fear is a spirit and definitely not from God. Fear is a very dangerous spirit and one of the weapons that the enemy uses to torment people. Fear has torment. Anywhere you find fear, you cannot find faith. Fear is an enemy of faith. We are to fear only God and that fear is reverential fear of God.

PRAY:- I raise the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth against you spirit of fear and I overcome you by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. Fear, I have dominion over you. You spirit of fear, I bind you today and I cast you into the abyss, I destroy your works and terminate your operation in any area of my life in Jesus name. Amen.

He went to the cross to secure for us freedom from sorrow and depression. Isa. 53:4, “Surely he hath borne our grief, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” He took our sorrows away and nailed them to the cross. In place of sorrow, we have joy. The joy of the Lord should be our strength always
