Make up your mind to walk according to God’s terms and not according to your own terms. True Christianity makes sense only within the context of the worship of a holy God; it must be according to His terms and not according to your own terms. Jesus said, ‘I am the way’. Please take note that there is only one way to heaven. Some people propound that all ways lead to heaven. Well, yes they might be correct to an extent, but the heaven they are referring to is the atmospheric heaven. There is only one way to the heaven of heavens and that way is found in John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” It is to God through Jesus. It is not to God through any other source, way, master or saint. I never understood this scripture until the day I had an out of body encounter. I moved from this atmospheric heaven without any hitch and I thought I was alone; but it was on penetrating the second heaven that I felt the presence of Jesus. Jesus is the way; nobody can cross the second heaven without Jesus. At a point, Jesus told me to take a last look down and then make up my mind. As I did, I saw my kids and he asked me to go back, that I had not completed my assignment. Heaven is real but how many people are preparing for it? It is painful that people go to Church and instead of being prepared for heaven, they are being prepared for this earth that is about to fade away. The Church is busy preparing billionaires and earthbound Christians. After making the billions, where will you spend it? “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36. Anyone who misses heaven is nothing but a colossal failure no matter his or her earthly accomplishments. Sometime ago, I attended a very big Cathedral on a Sunday and the Pastor preached a very hard message, the bride’s message which he said will be in series. By the next Sunday, the Church was half full but the Pastor was undaunted, he continued his message. By the next Sunday the Church was a quarter of its capacity. On noticing this trend, the Pastor decided to change his message by the next Sunday and those who left decided to come back. What is the essence of going to Church if you do not want to be transformed? If you remove heaven from your equation, you will misbehave; sin will become very cheap and the fear of God will dissolve. If you decide to live the broad way Christianity, you will not have the fear of God. Jesus mentioned that those who will be at the other side will weep and gnash their teeth. May we not be at the other side in Jesus name. It will be part of the wonders; the wonder of how you among the crowd that go to Church on Sundays made it. One lie no one should tell himself is the lie of going back. There is time for a repentant soul to re-tune, return, and refocus.
3. The wonder of how you got there. You will literarily glide to heaven, you ascend at the speed of light with your full consciousness and you will pick signals with ease. 1 Tes. 4:16-18, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” In one glorious moment of transition at the speed of light we shall ascend to be with the Lord. Think about those who made it with you; your loved ones who may have departed….that is one of the wonders.
