SUPERNATURAL EMPOWERMENT FOR MAXIMUM IMPACT IV

Luke 24:49 emphasizes the importance of empowerment before embarking on Christian service. “And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high”. The power from above is above all power that is why you must go for it. When you come from above, every other power will bow. Receive power from above that will make your head stronger than that of anyone carrying a contrary power. Anywhere you operate, evil powers will be rendered useless in the name of Jesus. No evil power will be able to hurt you or hurt any member of your family in the name of Jesus. There shall no evil befall you, no harm shall come near you because of the power from above in Jesus name. The Holy Ghost empowerment is for dominion.

Acts 1:3, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” The power of the Holy Spirit will make you a worthy witness of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Receive the power to witness in the mighty name of Jesus. Remember that witnessing is not only in words. A lot of people today know how to present the gospel message but they end there. The gospel is not full gospel until it is backed with the power of evangelism; it is not full until it is presented in words and with power. For instance, if you are preaching the gospel where someone is ill, the power of God empowers you to act. If you enter a place where someone is carrying a contrary spirit, how do you handle it? How would Jesus have handled it? How did the apostles handle it? That is the true meaning of witnessing. “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father in his omnipotence. He is all powerful. In other words, the power of the Holy Spirit makes you all powerful to the extent you are connected. This is because you can whittle down his influence in your life. He is co-equal with God in his omniscience. He knows everything. Christians are supposed to operate Holy Ghost assisted wisdom. The Holy Spirit will empower you to live above this world. Because you are connected to the most high, you should operate in the highest.
