BLESSED BEYOND CURSE 30C- THE HAND OF GOD

Sin is ‘hermatia’ in Hebrew which means to miss the mark. So, if you turn away from light, you will definitely miss the mark and that is the reason why I said that the beginning of every sin is iniquity, it is not the end but the beginning. Iniquity is a heart issue and a great blockade to the move of God, a great blockade to miracles and to the hand of God. Anyone who has iniquity in his heart cannot see the hand of God. Psalm 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Do you know that all the letters written by Apostle Paul were written to the Church (believers) and not unbelievers? The product of corruption is carnality, read Galatians chapter 6:7 and you will see the consequences of sowing in the flesh. Start sowing in the spirit in order not to reap corruption. Remember that nothing corrupt will make it to heaven. Today, a lot of Christians are sowing in the flesh; you cannot sow in flesh and expect to reap everlasting life. In Gal. 6:7, you will notice two classes of people; those who sow in the flesh and those who sow in the spirit. Unfortunately, most preachers use this scripture to raise money rather than teach people how to live right. Apostle Paul was not referring to money when he wrote this scripture, he was talking about how to live; he was referring to righteous living. The wonder working power of the almighty can be limited by iniquity, but there is a remedy.

  1. Repentance – Give your life to Christ. If you notice that sin is having an upper hand in your life, re-dedicate your life to Christ. It is better to do it over and over again than to submit to sin; you cannot be sowing in the flesh and expect to reap in the spirit. It does not work that way. Every harvest is a product of the seed; it is only a matter of time. It is time that processes seed to become a harvest. As long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease. The seed is always smaller that the harvest. The best seed to sow is your life; give your life to God. Anything you hand over to God cannot diminish. Until your life becomes a seed, it cannot produce a harvest. What if I refused to yield to the call of God when he asked me to drop paid employment? If God is asking you to drop something, it is an indication that he has something better for you. You may not see it at that particular time but time processes it. Whatever you release has become a seed and whatever you hold on to has become your harvest; whatever you refuse to release has become your harvest. In John 3:3, the Bible says you must be born again. Don’t be apologetic about it; that is the prescription and the beginning if you want to see the hand of God. You must get it right at the foundation level, if you miss it at the foundation level, you will struggle all though life and eventually get confused. If you notice that you don’t have a good foundation, please destroy it and build a new one. The Bible says, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 3:11). Jesus is the Rock.
  2. Consecration Let the blood of Jesus wash you. If you have not given your life to Christ, the blood of Jesus cannot work for you. Remember that iniquity is a disease of the heart; it is only the blood of Jesus that can cleanse you from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:7-10, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” Consecration means to be separated unto God. This is where the modern day Church going person misses it. When we gave our life to Christ in the early seventies, our heart desire was to follow Christ completely but this is no longer the case.
