Prov. 19:17 says, “He that hath pity on the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” You are actually lending to the Lord with whom there is no inflation and the One whose interest rate is very high. I have found out that God is too faithful to owe you; he is too faithful to forget your labour of love. The Philippian Church understood this principle; they practiced it and became channels of blessing. Phil. 4:15-16, “Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.” Apostle Paul was moved by their deeds. A lot of people are quick to quote Phil. 4:19 without paying attention to the origin. Partial application of the word of God is one of the symptoms of Christian immaturity. It was as a result of their action – the commitment of the Philippians to meeting his apostolic needs that Apostle Paul pronounced that blessing. Whenever you connect, there will be a flow, for every right connection, there is a flow and whatsoever the river of life touches is made whole.
Acts 2:44-47, “And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” This is the principle of apostolic communism, what you may call Christian social responsibility. It is not just enough to be a Christian, it is important to be a responsible Christian. Do you that whenever a genuine man of God declares ‘God bless you’ that the blessing actually begins to flow to you if you know how to receive it? There is a ‘God bless you’ that flows from the prophetic anointing that will silence every generational curse in your life.
Acts 2:44, “And all that believed were together, and had all things common.” The apostles had apostolic communism; they shared everything in singleness of heart, there was unity. Psa. 133:1-2 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments.” Anointing flows in an atmosphere of unity. The devil knows this and that is why he creates disunity even between husband and wife. The power of two is better than one, can be applied to destroy the works of the devil. Matt. 18:19, “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” If you hold on to this scripture, the hand of God will move because the hand of God will always move in the direction of his word to fulfill it. This is one of the reasons why we no longer see great miracles in the Church today; there are divisions in the Church even along ethnic lines.
