THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST 3B- IMMEDIATE AND PRESENT SIGNS

1. Return of Israel to its land cont’d. Today, Israel is flourishing and almost a superpower. Dan. 9:24-27, “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” The return of Israel as prophecied was fulfilled in 1948 about seventy two years ago. This shows that the second coming is nearer than we can imagine. Study Ezek. 37:1-22 talks about the valley of dry bones; Ezekiel prophesied to the dry bones and they became a mighty army. Israel is getting stronger by the day because the word of God is in their favour, the power of the almighty is fighting for them.
   
2. Liberalism, permissiveness, moral decadence, increase of iniquity, invention and adventures in sins, widespread drug abuse, growing crime rate and insecurity. Dan. 8:23, “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.” 2 Tim. 3:1-5, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” Apostle Paul is admonishing his spiritual son about what will happen in the end times. The level of decadence in the world today is appalling; the level of endorsement of sin is atrocious. The level of degeneration, drug addiction, lesbianism, gay, bestiality in the world today is terrible. In the beginning God made them male and female. The world is sick and unfortunately the people who should know better and denounce the evil are the same people endorsing it. Many of the columnists today are agnostics, some atheists; their writings reflect their belief. God has not changed. God still hates and judges iniquity. Something has gone terribly wrong in the mind of man. Almost every sacred institution has been bastardized. Satanists are set to take over the entire world. Raising godly children is not a tea party as they have access to so much information that they cannot decode. If such information can confuse adults, think of what it will do to children. They have their world in their pocket. The hospitals are not spared; most are now business centres. That is why the best thing that can happen to a child of God is to walk in divine health. Matt. 24:12, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold”.

Heavenly Father I worship and adore you for your wonderful gift of eternal life through your son Jesus Christ. I ask you to insulate me and every member of my family from the evil in the world today. Keep me as the apple of your eye and help me to be rapture ready all the days of my life in Jesus name. Amen.
