Sin is terrible. We must continue to emphasize this because it is sin that makes the glory of God to come short. It is sin that makes the enemy to take over. Submitting your will to the will of the enemy makes him your master. Whenever you commit sin, that is exactly what you are doing. But glory to God, we have an advocate. We have a messiah; we have a God that has our interest at heart. When he gave his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us, he reconciled us again to his perfect will because Jesus yielded his will to the perfect will of God. It is the battle of wills. In the book of Isaiah, we see the five ‘I wills’ of lucifer. He exalted his will above the will of his creator and God banished him from heaven with the angels that supported him. Take note that Lucifer did not actually carry out his intentions, he only conceived it in his heart. That is the nature of God and he has not changed.
Salvation is in Christ alone. Rom. 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Rom 6:23.
Pray –
- Lord, I thank you for the special gift that you have given to me. I receive this gift, I celebrate it and I thank you. Please help me to treasure it. Make it impossible for me to cede this gift away in the name of Jesus. Thank you mighty God. I trust you to help me to always be at the right side of prophecy, in Jesus name.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16. Why is the devil against man? The devil is mad at what you have, he is mad at what God gave you. What he wanted to be, what he craved, God gave to man freely. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness …” Gen. 1:26. God created man in his image and gave him dominion. Man lost the dominion in Eden when Adam sinned.
Through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, dominion has been restored to us. The Bible says ‘whosoever believeth’. Everything we lost in the Garden of Eden has been restored by the cross of Christ. The cross of Christ is the symbol of greatest restoration. Dominion restored. Eternal life restored. Health restored. Prosperity restored. Progress restored. Fellowship with God, restored. Inheritance restored. The cross is the greatest display of the grace of God and love of God. God could have wiped man away completely from the earth and recreated it when man fell but he didn’t. Part of the blessing that God has given us is the will – the ability to choose, otherwise man would have been a robot. This was what the devil worked on. What was supposed to be the highest point of God’s love was what the devil used to work against him.
Pray –
- Lord, in any way that I have misused your will please forgive me. In any way that I have not walked in line with your perfect will, in any way that I have chosen to walk in your permissive will, I am sorry. Forgive me. I am sorry, wash me. I am sorry, purge me. I am sorry, purify me. I am sorry O Lord, blot out all my transgressions.
- I surrender my will to your will. I hand over my will to you and I say like your Son did, let your perfect will always be established in my life. Thank you mighty God, in Jesus name. Amen.
