Matt. 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” This power includes power in the heavenlies, on earth and underneath the earth. In this scripture, you will notice that Jesus had resurrected and was just making a proclamation. In heaven, he won the battle, on the cross, he won the battle, in the grave, he won the battle and he routed principalities making a public show of them and he triumphed over them. He is telling you that all power have been given to him. Jesus could have gone with the power but he didn’t. Jesus did not send you out there while backing out. No, he is sending you and backing you up with all the power to succeed. How do you get connected to this power? Through faith in Christ! You must believe in him. If you don’t have revelation knowledge, you will not treasure what has been given to you. You will be seeking political power despite the fact that you have been given all power. That power is in two dimensions – ‘Dunamis’ and ‘Exousia’. ‘Exousia’ is authority, delegated power while ‘Dunamis’ is dynamic power – power that make things happen; power to do both physical and spiritual work. Power to dominate your environment has been given to you. Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” We have power over all the power of the enemy.
Any time an agent of darkness has an upper hand in any area of your life, it is because you have failed to manifest the power and authority which God has given you through his Son. We need to manifest this power. Be angry enough to manifest this power; some miracles may not manifest in your life until you get angry. Some changes may not occur in your life until you get angry with your present situation. What you justify and tolerate you can never change!
Pray –
- Lord, I thank you for giving me power over all the power of the enemy. Thank you for giving me power to trample upon serpents and scorpions. Thank you for supernatural empowerment. May I never lose sight of this. May I always operate in the fullness of this power all the days of my life in Jesus name.
- I hereby declare that the enemy will never have an upper hand in any area of my life. The hand of the wicked shall never remove me in the name of Jesus.
- Any evil hand that is stretched forth against the purpose of God for my life, be paralyzed in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
