We had earlier established that the spirit of the antichrist has been operating in the world since the early Church. We established that the antichrist is a person, a personification of man’s enmity and rebellion against God. Everything that is evil gets personified in the person of the antichrist, he will put on flesh. He will be satan personified just as Jesus Christ is God personified.
4. He will come from the revised Roman Empire, the fourth beast, which is western Europe or one of its offshoots.
Dan. 7:8, 19-21, “As I was looking at the horns, suddenly another small horn appeared among them, and three of the first ones were yanked out, roots and all, to give it room; this little horn had a man’s eyes and a bragging mouth. Then I asked about the fourth animal, the one so brutal and shocking, with its iron teeth and brass claws that tore men apart and that stamped others to death with its feet. I asked, too, about the ten horns and the little horn that came up afterward and destroyed three of the others – the horn with the eyes, and the loud, bragging mouth, the one which was stronger than the others. For I had seen this horn warring against God’s people and winning.” The horns represent kingdoms, authorities, empires. The fourth beast is coming from the revised Roman Empire. That is the beast that will torment God’s people. Prophecy actually favours him a lot, he will manifest the fullness of wickedness and marginalize God’s people. In the world today, the rate at which Christian values are being marginalized, shelved and shoved out of the way is alarming. Even young people find it difficult to identify with the values of Christianity in order not to be misunderstood.
When I enrolled for my MBA programme many years back, I noticed the spiritual atmosphere of the place and so I decided to announce to everyone that I am a Pastor. That, however, did not stop them from messing around with me. We have come to a time when being a child of God will be difficult but if you know what you stand to gain, you will not even think of trying to be like others. At a point they decided to call a meeting of ‘elders’ of the class and I was selected as one of the elders. The purpose of the meeting according to the class governor was to deliberate on how to raise money as gift to one of our lecturers. I was so furious that I just walked out of the evil group. You must learn to turn your back on nonsense. In spite of their scheming, the lecturer ended up giving most of them D. I suppose I was the only one in the entire class who got an A in that course. We have entered the period when there will be satanic pressure.
The spirit of the antichrist is the spirit which makes you to tell lies and falsify figures. It is the spirit that makes you lose your Christian identity in order to submit to nonsense. Once you submit, you will become nonsensical. If you don’t discern evil, you are likely to fraternize with it. There is no redeeming feature in an association that is evil. It is not only in marriage that we are not supposed to be unequally yoked, it is in everything. The Bible says, “Abstain from all appearance of evil” 1 Thes. 5:22. If you know that what you are pursuing will make you end up in hell fire, does it really make sense to continue to pursue it? Burn the bridge! Say no to every manifestation of the spirit of the antichrist, to his antics, wiles, deceptions and crooked ways. Once you bow, you will become a slave instead of being a king.

Dear Heavenly Father, I worship you. I thank you for your word and the priviledge of knowing you. Grant me the grace to be a worthy ambassador of your dear son Jesus Christ everywhere I go in Jesus name. Amen.
