When the Holy Spirit is moving, it is good to move along with him, don’t park. When the children of Israel were in the wilderness, when the pillar of fire moved, they also moved and whenever the pillar of cloud stayed, they stayed.
Every battle in this world is the battle of rods. Once you are born, you are born into a raging warfare, no one is exempt. God does not expect his children to lose in any battle and that is why he has made ample provisions for them not only to be conquerors but to be more than conquerors. The Bible says in Psa. 125:3, “For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.” The Living Bible puts it this way, “For the wicked shall not rule the godly, lest the godly be forced to do wrong.” The implication of this is that wherever you allow the rod of wicked to operate, it will even cause the righteous to start doing wrong!
In the world today, it is very difficult to be a true child of God. Why? Everywhere you go, you will see the manifestation of the rod of the wicked; almost every human institution has been bastardized. There is no sacred institution anymore. The world is sick because of the rod of the wicked.
The will of God is that the rod of the wicked should not rest; it should not be allowed to operate. This is because anywhere you allow the rod of the wicked to operate, things will be upside down and the enemy (satan) will be glorified. He is the originator, the power base of the rod of the wicked and all agents of wickedness just as Jesus Christ is our righteousness, and the power base of the rod of the righteous is God himself.
Psa. 12:8, “The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.” That is what is prevailing in the world today. One of the reasons why you have the rod of the wicked taking over the sphere almost everywhere you go is because the vilest of men are exalted. Who are the vilest of men? If you exalt the righteous, they will come with their seal of righteousness; they will make righteous decrees. Righteousness exalts a nation; sin is a reproach. This is because the rod of the righteous points upwards while the rod of the wicked debases, it brings reproach. I have heard so many people saying that there is the proliferation of Churches. Such people fail to take cognizance of the fact that there is also proliferation of shrines, evil altars, occultic centres and other things. Have you taken time to do a spiritual mapping of the environment where you live? If you do, you will be shocked. If God opens your eyes to the number of active evil altars in your environment, you will become more alert. Why are we still here on earth? Why did Jesus not take us after we made confessions of faith in Christ?
- We are here to be enforcers of righteousness.
- We are here to be reconcilers.
- We are here to be ambassadors of Jesus Christ.
- We are here to trample upon serpents and scorpions.
- We are here to deprogramme every programme of hell.
- We are here to bring down the glory of God.
- We were transformed to be transformers.
- We are here to lift the banner of the Lord – God has given a banner to those who fear him so that they may display it because of the truth (Psa. 60:4).
PRAYER
Ask God to make you an enforcer of righteousness wherever you operate.
