23. The revelation of Jesus Christ as our Shield.
Gen. 15:1, “After these things the word of he LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram; I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” Psa. 33:20, “Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.” Prov. 30:5, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” We need this in the world today that is full of deception. If God is your shield, you are perfectly insulated from the wiles of the adversary. Safety is not the absence of danger; it is the presence of God in the midst of danger. Psa. 23:4-5 says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over.” My enemies cannot stop me from downloading what God has prepared for me. There is nothing they can do about it. This should be our consolation. Psa. 91:1 says, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” When the Lord is your shield, you are highly protected. No power whether in flesh or out of it can pluck you out of the shield of the almighty. Receive it for yourself and every member of your family. Enthrone Jesus as your shield; magnify Jesus as your shield. Celebrate Jesus as your shield as you go out and as you come in. The only place where you can find safety today is in the presence of God. The vaccination we need is the vaccination of the word of God. The word of God is our greatest safety. Jesus is the incarnate word; receive him as your shield. If the word of God can shield you from demons, how will it not shield you from virus? If you can cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ, no virus can mesmerize you. Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world. If Jesus Christ is your shield, you are comprehensively protected. No evil shall come near you. No harm shall come near your dwelling.

- Lord, I celebrate you, I thank you for the generous provisions you have made for our well being. Thank you for being my shield. From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, let your name alone be praised in every facet of my life. You have spoken in your holiness, I will rejoice.
- My going out and my coming in shall be blessed for you are my shield. Jesus I celebrate you as my shield. Amen!
