2 Tim. 4:10 is a practical demonstration of this. “For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.” If you love this present age, you cannot be faithful to God. This is why a lot of things are happening in the Church today – because of the love of this age. You cannot love this age and remain faithful. You need help. You need deliverance which can only come to you when you humble yourself by going to the cross for help. The cares of this world choke good seeds out of your life. What are the things that are contending with the will of God for your life? There is no better prescription than the word of God. The word of God is the revealed will of God. There are things that are struggling to suffocate you and ensure that you are not fruitful. Today, you have people who have been in the Lord for twenty years, no fruit to show for it. Jesus hates unfruitfulness. He cursed an unfruitful fig tree. It is time to bear fruit. Anything that is choking the life of God in your life must dry up and fertilize your growth. That is why you need to carry enough fire of the Holy Spirit. Fire comes only through the presence of God, it doesn’t come by chance. That is why one of the greatest blows that Satanist dealt against the world in recent times is the Covid-19. They hijacked the world system through the lock down. If the fire of the presence of God can drive demons away, how much more a virus which is not even a personality. If you carry enough of the fire of God’s presence, any virus that comes in contact with you will die just like tares are burnt.
Some tares are sown through what you hear on social media, mass media, what you hear – words are seed. What are you feeding on? What seeds are being sown in the garden of your heart? You are becoming what you eat. Whatever controls your seed controls your harvest.
What to do?
Phil. 3:18-21, “(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ. Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ; who shall change our vile body, that it might be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”

- Dear Heavenly Father I thank you for the generous provisions you have made for my well-being here ad hereafter. I thank you for sending your son to die for me on the cross. Graciously make heaven more real to me than any earthly thing can ever be in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
