The crucified life is the bride’s way. We are all called to be in the bride of Christ. There is a preparation of the bride for the bridegroom and the way to be part of it is to ensure that you go to the cross daily. When Apostle Paul got this revelation, he said, ‘I die daily’. He was not referring to physical death when he made this statement. What stirs up sin? The law. What makes sin condemnable? The law. The power of sin is the law behind it. The albatross of sin is the law.
2 Cor. 3:3-10, “Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistles of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit; for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away; How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by the reason of the glory that excelleth.”
The glory of the cross is excellent. The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest display of the glory of God. Jesus died to tear the veil that separated us from entering the holiest place – the place where the glory of God resides. The glory is the place of the Excellency of the Holy Ghost, the Excellency of God. We must go beyond the holy place to the holy of holies, the place where the glory of God resides. That is one of the things that was accomplished for us at the cross. When Jesus gave up the ghost, the veil of the temple was torn from up down thereby giving us access. The blood of Jesus Christ is the blood of unlimited access to the presence of God. Your greatest asset is your access to the throne of God.
Grace came by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit is present in your heart; the Holy Spirit resident in your heart is your source of glory. Grace is your divine empowerment to say No to every appearance of evil, to live above sin. It is only when you live above sin that you can confidently say, ‘I have dominion over sin’. Many millionaires do not have dominion over money but there are some people who don’t have much who have dominion over it. The difference is that the other set of people have money but money does not have dominion over them. Those who allow money to have dominion over them do not really have life, they end up chasing money into the grave. Money does not have a character of its own, it assumes the character to its owner. That is why it is a very dangerous weapon in the hands of the ungodly. Child of God, you must be very careful of what you crave. Whatever you crave after becomes your banana peel. That is what the devil will use to tempt you. May you never say yes when you ought to say no in the mighty name of Jesus.
Pray –
- Heavenly Father, grant me the grace never to compromise your standards in the name of Jesus. Help me never to surrender my will to an evil personality, or to anything evil in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Help me not to worship money. Grant me grace to live above poverty, scarcity and lack in the name of Jesus. Help me to live above only and never beneath in Jesus name.
