BLESSED IN THE FIELD – NO MORE WASTE III

Mark 6:41-44 says, “And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. And they did all eat, and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.”

The disciples of Jesus picked up all the fragments in order to ensure that there was no waste. In John’s account of this incident, a little boy’s surrendered his lunch pack to Jesus. Jesus lifted it up and gave thanks (John 6:5-12). Thanksgiving brings increase. One of the ways through which you can destroy the curse of ingratitude is thanksgiving. Mind your confession during the time of scarcity; don’t join the company of those who confess negatively. Instead of complaining or murmuring, give thanks and you will be amazed. If you are wasteful, God will not commit weighty things into your hands. If you notice any form of waste in any area of your life, deal with it immediately. God is generous but not wasteful.
