Conversely, a minister of the gospel can focus so much on salvation and end up producing a poor congregation who don’t have knowledge of the principles of the kingdom. We have to live here before we get there. The truth of the matter is that it is good to have things but it is not good for things to have you. There must, therefore, be a balance. Usually, I don’t preach prosperity message until the Lord leads me to. There are principles in the word of God that will enable you live above poverty, scarcity and lack.
Pray –
- Lord, I do not have any pact with poverty; I do not have any business with poverty. The economies of this world will not affect my economy because I am in you and through your finished work, I declare that I have dominion over poverty, over scarcity, over lack.
- Insulate me from any form of famine. For you said in your word that in the time of famine, you will feed me fat. Lord, I depend on your word. You came that I might have life and have it more abundantly. I proclaim that abundant life is my portion in this land of the living. Thank you mighty God, in Jesus mighty name I pray.
Rev. 22:2-4, “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.” There shall be no more curse because there is a river and anywhere this river flows, there are deposits: there is healing, restoration, redemption, prosperity and so on.
This river flows in the life of every believer and this is one of the reasons why a believer must not have any pact with anything that Christ has redeemed him or her from. Christ was made poor that you might be rich so you have no pact with poverty.
Declare –
- I have no pact with poverty. I have no business with poverty. I have dominion over poverty through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.
