Spiritual power is focus. Daniel was so focused that he took a purposeful decision to seek the face of God the right way. He purposed in his heart not to be defiled right from the onset. There are things you must purpose in your heart during this fast. Get it right at the heart level so that everything will fall in place and so that your fasting will not be in vain.
Pray –
- Father, grant that everyone who partakes in this programme will purpose in their hearts to worship you acceptably; that they will fast acceptably and align with your purposive will as revealed in your word. Help us to be humble enough to admit our shortcomings. Lord, help us and cover our nakedness.
- Lord, we come before you just as we are, nothing is hidden before you. We acknowledge that we love you and we want to do things according to your purpose. Please help us. You know our short comings; you know where we are missing it, you know when our confessions do not align with our heart, Lord we ask you to help us in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Grant us the grace, O Lord, to seek you acceptably like your son, Daniel. Help us Lord, we depend on you. Grant us grace to confess our shortcomings wherever we are missing your mark in holiness, righteousness and wisdom. Help us O God not to hold anything back as we lay our hearts bare before you individually and collectively.
- Look into the annals, look into the innermost recesses of our hearts, O God, and help us to make amends. Help us to remove the little foxes that spoil the vine, no matter how minute. Grant us grace not to be defiled in the powerful name of Jesus.
- As we seek your face, Lord, we ask that the resources of heaven be made available to us. As we set our hearts to seek you, O God, we ask you to grant us your supernatural empowerment. We align with your will and we ask, O God, that you empower us.
- Where we are weak, please strengthen us. Where we are failing, please straighten it out for us. Grant us grace to walk hand in hand with you and to receive direct signals. Grant us the right spirit to be complete and total and prompt in obedience in the name of Jesus.
- Remove from us every filthy garment and grant us pure heart. Give us the right spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. Let our motive for seeking your face be right in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, let heaven intervene in the name of Jesus Christ. Let this fast, O God, command your divine interventions in the name of Jesus; let the move of the Holy Ghost be mighty in the name of Jesus. Thank you blessed Lord, in Jesus’ name.
