DIFFERENT CONDITIONS OF THE HEART
If you miss the heart of the matter, you have missed it all. The heart of the matter is a matter of the heart. With which heart are you seeking God? With which heart are you fasting? A lot of people who teach around the parable of the sower (Matt. 13:1-8, 18-23) major so much on the seed, this is good but the parable is richer. When Jesus gave the interpretation, he brought out the revelation that the heart is the soil and he gave us different categories of soil which gives us different heart conditions.
The purpose of this study is for us to do a thorough repentance because these heart conditions are with us, we cannot pretend that we don’t have them. I prayed for a perfect heart for years. In the heart of every bishop, there is a Judas. That is why I always pray into my heart. Deliverance of the heart is the greatest deliverance every child of God needs. Until God gives you a perfect heart, whatever you do in the kingdom amounts to chaff, and cannot stand the test of the fire, it will burn. Before you start climbing the ecclesiastical ladder, make sure you get it right in your heart. Don’t enter ministry with a wrong motive. How do you identify a heart condition? Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Say a word and I will tell you your heart condition. The Bible says we should guard our heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. Prov. 4:23.
What are these heart conditions?
1. The Wayward heart.
Luke 8:5, “A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.” This is the seed that fell on the way side and was trodden down, the birds of the air devoured them. Jesus did not spare. That represents a heart condition. When people with wayward heart attend a Church meeting, before they get home, everything they heard dissolves. They are very shallow; superficial Christians. It is a very terrible heart condition, very worldly.
Pray –
- Lord, please help us. Help every member of the fellowship that has a wayward heart, visit every one and remove the waywardness of the heart. Dismantle and destroy this evil heart and give us replacement with perfect heart.
- Do a thorough heart surgery on us; perfect heart is what we desire for ourselves and every member of the fellowship in the name of Jesus. Deliver your people from waywardness in the name of Jesus. Uproot and destroy anything the enemy has sown in the heart of your children to manipulate their destiny away from your purposive will in the name of Jesus.
- Eternal rock of ages, remove every perversion; remove everything that distorts your image and glory in our lives in the name of Jesus.
- Grant us grace to set our affections right and to seek you the only living God. Help us to purpose in our hearts not to be defiled. Help us to tuned to the frequency of heaven 247, and all the days of the year in the name of Jesus, help us, O God, we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
