A lot of people score own goals as a result of wrong decisions and choices; some put themselves in bondage without even knowing it. If God asks you not to sin, it is because he loves you. The person who lowers the bar for you to sin does not really love you. The instruction you obey determines the future you create. Salvation is free but never cheap. God hates and judges sin. The sin you condone will eventually contaminate and consume you. Evil does not get better with time, it morphs into a Frankenstein monster. It is only those who do not understand the nature of evil that try to deal with it with kid’s gloves.
The sin you commit does not reduce or demean God, the reason why God hates sin is because of what sin does to the object of his love. He loves you in the truest sense of the word and that is why even when he could have decided to annihilate the human race, he decided to give man a second chance by sending his Son to pay for the sin that his Son never committed.
This is the greatest display of grace. It was man who sinned, the soul that sinneth shall die, it must be a man who must pay the price. No angel was qualified to take away the sin. God himself had to become man in order to atone for the sin of man. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life,” (John 3:16). God gave man a life line, the greatest miracle ever. While on earth, Jesus Christ was one hundred percent human and one hundred percent God this is called the hypostatic union in theology.
As man, Jesus could have sinned, but he exercised his will to do the will of his father. He was able to do this because he was a consummate worshipper. He yielded his will to the will of the Father. You should learn to do this. Your will is your deciding self. The choices you make, your decisions in life determine your destination. This is why we must treasure our salvation. Anything that wants to demean your salvation hates you. What value do you place in your relationship with Jesus? Jesus said my meat is to do the will of my Father. He was a consummate worshipper. He lived in the realm of divine communion with this Father and that was the reason why he was able to finish well. He had a perfect heart; he never disconnected from the Father.
The only time there was a disconnection was when he was carrying my sin and your sin on the cross. He wept, not because of the pains he was undergoing, but because of the disconnection. There was a disconnection because God could not look at his Son who was carrying our sins. This is how valuable the salvation package is. The devil will do everything possible to make you an easy believist; you must resist him. There are many easy believist preachers today producing easy believists.

- Dear Heavenly Father, I celebrate your love for me. I thank you for the greatest miracle on earth; the miracle of salvation. Grant me grace to live for you and never to trade my love for you for anything else in Jesus’ name.
- Let your perfect will be established in every facet of my life and guide me by your spirit to always make right decisions in Jesus’ name. Amen.
