A MESSAGE DELIVERED ON THE 25TH OF DECEMBER, 2021
Psa. 45:1-8
“My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee forever. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty with thy glory and thy majesty. And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the scepter of thy kingdom is a right scepter. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.”
What is your heart inditing? Inditing here means bubbling or overflowing. What is your heart overflowing with today? It is not about the date but about the event. Jesus Christ is the essence and the substance of our celebration. Some people celebrate the God they do not know, in fact, they celebrate more than Christians do. This is better described in Isa. 5:11, “Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them.” They celebrate Christmas without Christ. We are not like that. The grace of God has delivered us from foolish celebrations. What is your heart bubbling with? What is your heart overflowing with? The Psalmist says my heart is overflowing with a good thing. May our hearts always overflow with the goodness of God in the name of Jesus Christ. May God bring us to the point where our hearts will be bubbling with our love for Jesus Christ his Son and our love for the almighty God. That is the true meaning of worship. That is the place of acceptable worship. That is the place where we are completely sold out to God. When we get to that point, the blessings of acceptable worship will follow us; the anointing of God will flow ceaselessly in our lives. Anointing will make us smell fine. It will enable us win battles effortlessly because it is no longer about us. We are citizens of heaven just operating in this clime for a while. Heaven backs us up when we speak. Whenever we cry, heaven replies. When we stretch, things happen.

- Celebrate Jesus all the days of your life. Fall in love with him. Give him all the glory. Lift up his banner.
