How to celebrate Jesus Christ
2. Believe him.
How can you walk with someone whom you don’t believe in? We are called to be believers. I used to think that unbelief in the heart is a minor sin until I studied the book of Revelations which says, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Rev. 21:8. Judgment is already reserved for them. This is the reason why it is dangerous to frolic with unbelievers; if you do, you are likely to be influenced. The Bible says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life, John 3:16. ‘Believeth’ here means to make a habit of believing. The habitual believer is the one that will not perish but have everlasting life. It is possible to have everlasting life and yet not be in the bride of Christ. All the blessings which follow those who walk with Christ are reserved for only believers, not for the faithless or the unbelieving. Jesus said, “Yes! He will answer them quickly! But the question is: When I, the Messiah, return, how many will I find who have faith and are praying?” (Luke 18:8 TLB). The implication of this is that there is fake faith and there is true faith.
Pray –
- Lord, help me never to be in the congregation of unbelievers in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, please consolidate my belief in you. I declare that I am a believer in Jesus Christ. I believe in You. I believe in your finished work on the cross of Calvary. I believe that God, the Father, sent you to die for my sins.
- I believe that through your death, burial and resurrection, all my sins are forgiven. I believe in you Lord, Jesus Christ. I believe that on the third day, you rose up from the dead. I believe that you are coming back to take your own. Please, keep me rapture ready. Grant that I will not miss you. I love you Jesus. Help me to be where you are forever.
- You have gone to prepare a place for me, please prepare me for that place. As I celebrate you this day, grant me the grace. Help me to know you more. Help me to fall in love more and more with you. Amen.
