Iniquity is turning away from the revealed will of God and it is so easy. Until you are deceived, you cannot turn away from light. The Hebrew word for iniquity is âvôn which means to turn away or depart from light. Light is the revealed will of God, the word of God. Jesus said in John 8:12: “I am the light of the world”. There are five dimensions of light:
- There is light the thing
- There is light the place
- There is light the realm
- There is light the person
- There is light the sphere
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). He has asked us to be the light of the world and as such we must shine. Any star that does not shine has not fulfilled its purpose. The glory of God must shine through us. But we don’t have any light of our own; it is the light of God that must shine through us. May we not behave as if we are the givers and not the receivers in Jesus’ name. That is another deception. Anything you are, you were made, anything have, you were given, may you not behave as if you are the owner in the name of Jesus Christ.
Pray –
- Lord, remove every trace of deception from my heart. Destroy every seed of deception in me and draw me closer to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Help me to be humble. Help me to be prompt and complete in obedience. Help me to fall in love over and over again with you.
- Fill me with Christ till the world no longer sees me but Jesus Christ shining through me. Where I am weak, O Lord, strengthen me.
- Cover my nakedness. Clothe me through the blood of Jesus Christ with the garments of salvation, righteousness, majesty and strength; cloth me with the bride’s garment of honour and strength.
- Clothe me, O God, and grant me grace to align with you one hundred percent in the name of Jesus Christ. Help me to redeem the time and make hay while the sun still shines.
- Help me to invest my life on things that have eternal value. Grant me grace never to chase shadow into the grave and miss the substance in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Help me to be addicted to your presence. Make it impossible for me to drink the wine of success that will take me away from your presence.
- Let your glory shine through me. Make me all you want me to be in Jesus’ name.
