PRAYER FOR THE JOURNEY AHEAD 3A – (FIRE ON THE ALTAR)

consuming fire

I believe that the best place to be is the presence of God because that is where you have guaranteed safety, fullness of joy, and divine provisions. You cannot be in his presence and be lacking. If God is your shepherd he will lead you, guide you, protect and sustain you. He anoints your head with oil and your cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life and you shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. That is part and parcel of the blessings of seeking God and getting addicted to his presence. The blessings of his presence are immeasurable and boundless. Your heart desire should be to know him more as we continue in this journey. He reveals himself to those whose heart pant after him.

Another thing that happens in his presence is that mountains will skip in line with Psa. 114, “When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? Thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? Tremble, thou, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.”

Pray

The leading of God is from glory to glory. As such, things will continue to get better in your life irrespective of the situation of things in the world.  Things will definitely get better for those who do know their God, they will do exploits according to Dan. 11:32b.

I love the fire dimension of the Holy Spirit because my first encounter with the Holy Spirit was quite fiery and to the glory of God that fire is still burning several years after.

Lev. 6:12-13, “And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings. The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.”
In this scripture, we can see a combination of things – wood and fat to produce the fire, to keep the fire burning. The divine prescription is that the fire shall ever be burning upon the altar. The fire must never be allowed to go out. It is the responsibility of the priest to keep the fire burning. Today, by the special grace of God, every truly born again child of God is not only an altar, but a priest and expected to present his body a living sacrifice.
