Eight Ways God leads
5. God’s leading is devoid of sensationalism.
1 Kg. 19:10-15, “And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire: but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah? And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.”
Here, God told Prophet Elijah to return. Your blessings are locational! If you don’t return you will not receive it no matter the quantum of prayer you make. God is not into sensationalism, if you miss the still small voice, you have missed God.
I visited one of my friends who happens to be an elder in a big ministry and noticed that he was in a pensive mood. I asked him why and he told me how he declared a vigil where he prayed and prayed for hours until he fell into a trance. Jesus appeared to him with angels in that trance, looked at him and told him the exact number of hours he had spent in the place of prayer and that all his prayers were off point. It is not in your acrobatics. Today, the situation of that man is so pitiable. May that not happen to you in the mighty name of Jesus. May God never ask you – what are you doing here? There is a place where God wants you to be at a particular point in time. Study Exo. 25:22, God said, “And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.” There is a place called there. May you not miss that place in the mighty name of Jesus. If God takes you to that place, ensure that you do not dislocate yourself. The devil dislocates in order to disconnect in order to destroy. A lot of people are disconnected because they were dislocated. Dislocation goes before disconnection. After disconnection, the next stage is isolation, then destruction.
Pray –
- Raise the blood of Jesus against the spirit of disconnection and dislocation. I overthrow you evil spirits, I bind you and terminate your operation in every area of my life in Jesus’ name.
- Receive grace to always be at the right place at the right time in Jesus’ name.
