Eight Ways God leads
6. God leads in the paths of righteousness.
Psa. 23:3, “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” God leads us in the paths of righteousness because he is righteous. God cannot ask you to do anything that is unrighteous. The Hebrew word for name in this scripture is ‘shem’ which means reputation. God has a reputation which he cannot violate. Everything he does is consistent with his nature of holiness, righteousness and wisdom. Beware of those who come to tell you visions that are not consistent with the word and nature of God. It is safer to rely on the word of God than to rely on man’s vision.
7. His leading is always progressive.
The Bible says in Prov. 4:18, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto a perfect day.”
8. He leads from glory to glory, ultimately leading us to his dwelling place.
Psa. 23:6, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever”. The final destination of the leading of God is his dwelling place. Everybody will end up in the home of their owner that is why it is very important for you to know who is leading you. It is the spirit that leads you on this earth that will lead you home. If it is not the Holy Spirit, you have no inheritance in the Lord. The scripture says, “Surely”, that is assuredly, there is no doubt that I will dwell in the house of my shepherd forever. Every flock ends up in the house of their shepherd.
