If you fail in your marital life, you are not a success. Get this very clear. Young men who are not married should take note.
I am very passionate about this topic because it is one of the ministries that God has given us in this fellowship. I started my ministry by praying for people with long standing needs particularly those trusting God for the fruit of the womb since 1992. By the grace of God, I have seen the moves of God.
God is a God of purpose and everything he created is for a purpose – your hand to touch, your mouth to talk, nose to smell, eyes to see, legs to walk. You cannot fulfil a purpose you have not discovered; you cannot fulfil a purpose that you are not even aware of its existence. Here, the law of recognition comes in. You have to recognize in order to fulfil a purpose.
The reason why a lot of marriages are under duress is because of lack of purpose. The only purpose everyone knows is the purpose of procreation. That is not even the first reason why God established marriage.
Purpose of Marriage
- To provide a help mate for man.
Gen. 2:18, “And the LORD God said, it is not good that man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” One of the major reasons why people fall prey to wrong relationships is loneliness. When I was in Rochester in 1991, I had a neighbour who stayed alone with her dog. The few times I saw her, she was always cuddling her dog. That is how a lot of people live and that is why the devil is fighting them with depression. Loneliness can lead people into wrong relationships. A wrong relationship is the one that will not add value to your life. Anyone who enters your life is like an elevator, who either takes you up or down. I pray that that person who is capable of taking you down will never enter your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We all need a help that is suited for us. God said that it is not good for man to be alone. If God says something is not good, it is not good at all. If you study the life of some women who boasted that they could do without a man, you will discover that they ended up having children for different men eventually. You cannot go against the word of God and be truly successful. A perfect man in a perfect environment specially made by God, God in his wisdom still deemed it necessary to make a suitable mate, a help that is suitable for him.

- Lord, I want to fulfil your purpose, help me never to be lonely. Grant me grace, let my divine helpers locate me. Let my destiny enhancers locate me and help me to fulfil my destiny in Jesus’ name.
