It is not in commanding God as a lot of people do because of the scripture in Isa. 45:11 where the King James Version of the Bible erroneously placed a full stop at the end of the sentence instead of a question mark. “Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” Other translations got it right. The New International Version says, “This is what the LORD says – the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come, do you question about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands?” The King James version should have read, Concerning the works of my hand, command ye me?
You can easily identify ‘penterascals’ by the way they command God. When people read the Bible selectively, they are bound to make mistakes. You have no right to command God. Anyone who does that does not really know God. My son cannot come to me with commands. If you continue to use vain repetitions when praying, you are praying like the Pharisees. This error has produced a lot of mechanical prayers.
A lot of people do not know what it means to be a man of God, it is not a title. As a man of God, you need to be constantly tuned to the frequency of heaven 247 and be led by the Holy Spirit. As a man of God, you are an enforcer of righteousness and must be full of fire. It is not a mechanical thing. Any prayer that is born out of irreverence is a wasted effort. The devil is fond of putting a full stop where God intended a comma and putting full stop where God intended a question mark. This was exactly what happened with this scripture that changed the entire sentence and the meaning. Unfortunately, there was a whole generation of preachers who made this scripture their only theology.
Pray –
- Lord, make it impossible for me to be a candidate of erroneous theology. Any error that I have imbibed in my knowledge of you, Father, please wipe it away and help me to follow your word according to your dictates and according to the letters and the spirit of your word in the name of Jesus.
- Help me to be tuned to the frequency of heaven and guide me by your spirit to be all you want me to be and accomplish all you want me to accomplish.
- Do not let me put the wrong foot forward. Let your spirit lead and uphold me. Let your spirit guide me. Let your spirit teach me. Let your spirit mentor me to greatness in Jesus’ name.
- Father, in your mercy, I ask that you deliver any member of my family and any member of your Church who is not praying aright. Show us your mercy, O God, and deliver us.
- I ask that you take away every error that we have imbibed. Anything that is making us not to pray aright, please deliver us from it. Grant us grace to pray prayers that will produce results in the mighty name of Jesus.
