SEVEN BARRIERS TO ELIMINATE FOR OUR MIRACLES TO HAPPEN
3. Unconfessed sin.
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”
Proverbs. 28:13 KJV
Psa. 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Whenever you approach the presence of God, always remember that he is a thrice holy God – “holy, holy, holy” and clean up. Tremble at this presence, clean up and confess to the minutest details. You don’t need to visit any reverend father before you can confess your sins, you can do it right inside your bedroom. Just go on your knees talk to God –
- Father, you know me even before I was conceived in my mother’s womb. I am struggling with this habit (mention it), please help me. I confess that I have been unable to withstand the temptations of the enemy. I have missed it here and there (mention it). Please, look into my heart, anything in me that makes you sad, please remove it.
- Anything you find in me that is not right, please cleanse me. Make me holy. You are holy, help me to be holy. Make me pure and acceptable in your sight. Let your glory shine forth in my life.
- Remove every barrier of sin; you went to the cross to destroy it. Grant me dominion over sin.
- Through the finished work of your dear Son, Jesus Christ, I confess all my sins before you. Lord, grant that sin will never have dominion over me in the name of Jesus.
4. Unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness towards others.
“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
Mark 11:25-26 KJV
Forgive, so that your prayer can fly. Forgiveness is mandatory, it is not optional. Several times, I do minister self deliverance to myself, asking God to help me remove any form of resentment from my heart so that when I sleep, I can receive visions of heaven and not demonic attacks. The reason why some people get attacked in their dreams is because of too much bitterness in their heart. In spiritual warfare, if you become enemy-centric, there is no way you will not be bitter. You are not called to be enemy-centric, you are called to be Theo- centric; celebrate God. Enjoy heaven while you are still here. We are ambassadors here, heaven is our destination. We are only here on a pilgrimage.
Pray –
- Lord, help me to forgive everyone. Grant that no one will steal my joy. No circumstance will delay my blessing in the name of Jesus.
- Roll away every barrier of unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness, malice, strife in my heart and help me to soar above every limitation in Jesus’ name.
