Don’t frolic with evil and expect good to come, it cannot happen. True holiness is, loving God and going all out to do what pleases him. True holiness is becoming ambassador of heaven where you are. True holiness is, hating what God hates and loving what God loves and being an enforcer of righteousness in your domain. It is not a passive thing. Anything you tolerate you cannot change.
Prov. 18:10, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” The name of the Lord will protect us. Take note that name in this scripture is ‘shem’ which means God’s reputation, God’s identity, God’s nature. God does everything according to his purposive will. Everything he does is according to the counsel of his own will.
“In whom we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will”.
Ephesians 1:11 KJV
God protects you for his name sake. He blesses you for his name sake. He shields you for his name sake. When you say, I come in the name of Jesus Christ, God’s identity takes over. His reputation is at stake in your life. Just as you will not allow anyone mess up with any of your children because of your reputation, so it is with God. God will not allow anyone mess up with you because his name is at stake. It pays to walk on the path of righteousness; we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Part of the blessings of righteousness is comprehensive divine protection; when you sleep, he who keeps watch over you neither slumbers nor sleeps. When you go out, he gives his angels charge over you to ensure that you are not touched. What a wonderful Father! You have God’s name, you have his signature, you have his reputation at stake in your life.
Pray –
- Lord, we celebrate you. We give glory and honour to your name. We magnify your name. Help us, O God, to be people who represent your name according to your purpose wherever we operate. Grant us this grace in the mighty name of Jesus never to misrepresent you.
- Wherever we operate, may your name be magnified. Help us O God. Make us worthy ambassadors of your name everywhere we operate in the name of Jesus.
- Make us healing agents in this sick world, make us enforcers of righteousness even in this sinful world. Help us never to be part of the rot in the system but help us, o God, to be solution, to be light in darkness in the name of Jesus. Thank you for your divine cover. Thank you for signals from above. Heaven will back us up to succeed in Jesus’ name.
