The greatest power belongs to those who can pray, those who have learnt to pray. If the greatest power belongs to the omnipotent God, the Omniscient God, the Omnipresent God, then the people who have access to him should be able to appropriate that power. How do we appropriate this power? We appropriate it through prayer. Prayer is striking the winning blow.
God moves when his people pray. The greatest thing you can do for God and for man is to pray. Prayer moves the hand that rules the universe. If you want to have comprehensive victory, the secret remains prayer. God has given us assurances in his word that he will answer us when we pray. Sometimes, the devil comes to create doubt in your mind to ensure that you do not pray. Any voice that is accusing you cannot be the voice of the Holy Spirit. It is the voice of the accuser of the brethren, you must not listen to his accusations which are always false.
My greatest desire in this concert of prayer is that all our prayers will be answered. Are you ready for answered prayers?
“Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation … The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing”.

We serve a God who answers prayers. “O thou that hearest prayer” means the One who is in the habit of answering prayers. He is not serving the living God who is serving a god who does not answer prayers. He is not a God who stores prayers but the God who answers prayers. There are great answers as a result of great prayers.
God’s standard for prayer is – pray without ceasing (1 Thes. 5:17). If you are prayerless, you will be powerless. The purpose of this prayer concerto is to sensitize you that you are not praying enough; to make you place more value in your connection with God. One of the greatest means of maximizing our divine connection is prayer. Through prayer, you connect to the limitless resources of heaven.
Prayer is spiritual programming; if you have ever written a software programme, you will appreciate this. That is essentially what you do when you pray; you are programming things in the realm of the spirit where it matters most because the spirit realm controls the physical. Whatever overwhelms you in the realm of the spirit will defeat you in the physical. Whatever does not overwhelm you in the realm of the spirit cannot defeat you physically. In the realm of the spirit a good programmer knows how to deprogramme the programmes of the enemy. We will deprogramme and programme and all our programmes will run in the mighty name of Jesus.
One of the things I love most about prayer is that it has generational impact. Some of the prayers you pray today your children will still enjoy the outcome even to many generations, glory to God. That is part of the beauty of serving a living God. We are serving a God who remembers the righteousness of our fathers. He also remembers the unrighteousness of the unrighteous. The consequences of the idolatry of the forefathers of Africans is the reason why the continent is the way it is today. In the place of prayer, we don’t take anything for granted.
Prayer is expression of greatest wisdom. When you declare it in the realm of the spirit, it stands written and it runs. When you forbid it, it is forbidden from generation to generation. You cannot stop a prayerful person from succeeding, it is not possible. The problem is not the enemy as such, the problem is man himself. The average person does not pray as much as he ought to.
God’s standard for prayer is – pray ceaselessly. Jesus gave a parable that men ought always to pray and not to faint (Luke 18:1-8). The implication of this is that anyone who is not praying, is fainting.
Whenever God wants to bless a family, one of the things he specializes in doing is to raise an intercessor. You can be the intercessor in your family that will repair your faulty foundation. Almost every family in Africa has faulty foundation. The greatest problem of African countries is not corruption, their greatest problem is perversion and the worst perversion is perversion of worship. Corruption is only an offshoot of idolatry; idolatry is perversion of worship, so the greatest problem of Africa is idolatry. Something must give for most of the nations in Africa to survive because they are facing an existential problem.

- Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the generous provisions you have made for my well being here, and hereafter. I ask you to empower me by your spirit to pray without ceasing in Jesus’ name, amen.
