3. Covenant of sweatless victories CONT’D.
I worked as a sales engineer in an organization (a pioneer member) selling very sophisticated machines. As sales engineers, we had targets but the company did not have any advert. There was a particular month when none of us sold a single machine; this placed a lot of pressure on the organization. As a result, the managing director of the company summoned a meeting where he read what he called “the riot act”. You are expected to sell at least three machines or be sacked. These machines were quite expensive and decisions to buy were usually taken at board levels. Fortunately for me, we had mid week service on that day, so I went straight to Church on my way back from the office. I was a bit late and as soon as I dropped my briefcase, I heard the minister say, reach out to your neighbour and agree with him or her in prayer concerning that which is uppermost in your heart. I reached out to my neighbour and agreed with her that I should exceed the target given to us that particular day. One day as I was going around submitting proposals, I entered a merchant bank and eventually made my way to the managing director’s office but the secretary informed me that he was in a board meeting that might drag on for hours. I decided to wait for a while and even slept off while waiting for him. After over an hour, the Holy Spirit put it in my heart to have a word with the secretary. I handed over the proposal to her and made her promise to ensure that her boss received it. That was all I did. I went back to the office to write my daily report and closed for the day. Time was running out and no one in the organization had sold anything.
You must not allow the failure of others to be a consolation to you, you are special and you have a special direct link with the almighty as a child of God. During my devotional this morning, I read from the author that there are some special blessings which your father-child connection can bestow upon you. Learn to settle things with your Father. I am a father and I have the heart of a father. That teaches me how God values our relationship with him. One day, after combing the whole of my ‘territory’ without much success, I returned to the office and was told that there was a special call from the merchant bank where I submitted my proposal requesting that I come over. The managing director told me that because I was not available, he had to send my colleague to go and close the deal on my behalf. The bank picked four different sizes of the machine, to the glory of God. That was how I exceeded my target. I was so encouraged by this and went to another bank where I had been going with no success. The administrative manager on seeing me praised me for not giving up, persistence and for my tenacity. He told me that the bank had decided to replace all their machines with brand new ones which they intended to buy from our organization. For a start, they picked two.
It is not by might nor by power but by the spirit of the living God (Zech. 4:6). The grace of God oils your path. If you have never enjoyed sweatless victories, you may think that it is until you lift weight that you can succeed. The hand of God will smoothen your path, remove the stress and strain and ensure that someone who will take a right decision loses sleep over your matter. That was how I sold six machines in one month. Incidentally, I was the only one who sold in that organization and saved everyone else. The chairman of my company was so elated and wanted to know the source of my connection. Jesus connection is the greatest connection. Have you tasted it? One of the lies that the devil tells is that if you don’t know anyone or have a connection, then you cannot make it. Know God. The God connection is the greatest connection anybody can have. The longest leg anyone can have is God. The fact that companies are no longer employing does not mean that you will not get a job. If you have God, you have the greatest connection. If it is the hand of God that is lifting you, no power can stop you, not even the sky will be your limit. Reach out for divine connection today. You need to repent for putting your trust in the arm of flesh. The impact of those sales on my life was so enormous. I was able to buy my first car from the commissions I earned and had enough to invest.

- I ask that you roll away every mountain. Connect me to my divine hand lifters and connect me to where you want me to be in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Wherever there is a blockade, please send your angels to roll it away in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, let your oil of favour locate me in the mighty name of Jesus. Let your oil of favour flow from the crown of my head down to the soles of my feet.
- Lord, remove every stress and every strain in the name of Jesus.
- Where they are looking for someone to promote, let it be me in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Encompass me with favour like a shield in the name of Jesus. Where others fail, make me to excel in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Let the grace for comprehensive success come upon my destiny in the name of Jesus. Let this be my testimony in Jesus’ name.
