Some of the scriptures that motivational preachers love to quote CONT’D
2.
“Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s”.
Psalm 103:5, KJV
Someone told me that an eagle is patient through the way it renews its youth. She went on to narrate that once an eagle gets to a certain age, it goes to a mountain where it sheds off its feathers sometimes by using its beak to pluck off the stubborn ones. The eagle is ready to wait there for about five months to allow new feathers grow. Is that patience? I asked her. This is not patience but self preservation. Take note that everything the eagle does is selfish; an eagle flies alone while other birds congregate. Extremely selfish and extremely self willed. That my youth is renewed like the eagle’s does not make me an eagle. If you have the Holy Spirit inside of you and you are not experiencing renewal then something is wrong. The Holy Spirit is the greatest spirit of regeneration. He is the river of life; out of my belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). Whatsoever that river touches shall be made whole. The Holy Spirit is not only the spirit of regeneration and restoration, he is the spirit of revitalization, the spirit of quickening, the spirit of life, the very life of God (zoe). He is the spirit of resurrection. The Holy Spirit is dwelling inside of me as a quickening power that renews my youth. The Holy Spirit reinvigorates, restores and revitalizes. Sometimes when you try to teach young people these truths they become argumentative. Life is a teacher. There are two ‘M’s’ to wisdom – mentorship (this is the best) and mistake. Mistake is a bad and hard teacher. The shortest cut to wisdom is mentorship. What took me sixty years to learn, I can hand over to you in less than sixty minutes.
3.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”.
Isaiah 40:31, KJV
This scripture never said that they that wait upon the Lord shall mount up wings and become eagles. Motivational preachers must make an eagle out of people. Yes, eagles soar but the highest level the eagle can ever get to is the atmospheric heaven. Where you are going, no eagle shall see your back in the mighty name of Jesus. If you know who you are in Christ and that you are seated together in heavenly places, you don’t need the wings of an eagle. You don’t even need to soar because you will zoom. It is because a lot of people have not had an out of body experience that they think the way they do – carnal unregenerated mind. A departing soul travels at the speed of light, no eagle can catch up with it. When you get to the atmospheric heaven, the journey has just begun. There is another heaven after the atmospheric heaven. No eagle can cross the atmospheric heaven. It is unfortunate that the Church has tolerated this error for so long and it is creating a lot of distortion.
The greatest and fastest revival that is taking place in the world today is not Christianity, not even Islam but idolatry. Where is the Church? Whatever you have renounced, please ensure that you keep it renounced forever if you want to be above only. The Church is producing eagles; the world is also producing eagles. We need to repent and break away from this distortion. If you don’t receive strength from the Holy Spirit, you have a long way to go. All the strength you need for this journey and for comprehensive success is in the Holy Spirit. If you want to be above only, you must come from above. Does the eagle come from above? So, why deify what God calls abominable?
